Celebrating friendship - friendship day

Ive not always been one to keep up with all the special days in a year, afterall, everyone has a date this is special to them.

For me, the birthday of my family members, those special to me and myself, the day my mom died, left hand day, and all the usual holidays we have in a year are all the dates I carry around my head.

So imagine my surprise when I got a mention from @fisteganos on a post he made about "friendship day".

It stands to reason that a day like friendship day would exist, just that its quite funny.

So I went online to check about it and while there are inconsistencies, with some saying 30th July and others saying 1st Sunday in August, its still nice to see that people who value friendship actually have a day they celebrate.

I believe in having friends, not too many, but few, few that are close to you and you can relate stuff with.

I sat down to count all those I could really call my friends,...... Its funny, cause I couldn't count up to 10 fingers.

Im a bit of a loner, an extroverted-introvert, so I guess thats the reason I only have deep connections with a few people.

Having connections with people, especially via steemit, has been one of the most enjoyable and revealing moments of my life.

The last two years in crypto, starting nov 2016, has been amazing, I have found connections with people I never thought I would meet, I have made friends with strangers that turned into family, I have found love in a place I never knew I would be.

It was through a great friend, doctor, visionary @nairadaddy that I got wind of sndbox, and I'll appreciate him for it throughout my stay there!
