That tremendous will trampling on and sacrificing the body is an inherently high transgression, peremptory and dominant fact of the self and not of the body.
And if I am the body, how do I control and subjugate the body?
And if I'm hungry, how do I control hunger?
The mere internal dominance of all elements of the body and the vocabulary of instincts is the revealing testimony of that transcendent and distinctive element of the human self.
By myself, I control the body.
By reason, I control myself.
By insight, I set the mind's limits.
This differentiation between a superior existence and its verdict is the factual proof that leads us to the soul as a high, transcendent, judgmental fact that is not a tail and a subordinate who dies.
