If you have to pay the government for permission to keep your property, then is it really even your property?
They say that the only sure things are death and taxes. Even if it were necessary at one time, it isn't now. There are ways to get services rendered without the need for extortion.
Some of the titles have been changed because - funnier.
- "Who will build the roads?" In short, open source and the blockchain certainly could.
- "Do you want to live in a world full of stupid kids?" Well, don't we have a pretty big problem with that right now? I would submit that schools are the worst way to educate people and are potentially the least efficient expenditure of tax payer money.
- "What about police and emergency responders?" We would do a lot more for peace and prosperity if we would just end the profits and violence of prohibition. There are already many volunteer emergency response units. Of those, most do take tax money for funding, but is that the only way?
I'm not saying I have all the answers, but why not ask the questions? In the world of crypto currency, communication and open source, it seems time to start talking about making some changes.
#tryannytuesday and #freedomfriday will be weekly articles. I hope you stay tuned. I have a ton of ideas.
