I CELEBRATE ME

I'm celebrating me,not my accolades or accomplishments or anything remotely tangible. I am celebrating my life. I'm alive and so are you! Sometimes I forget to celebrate this awe inspiring fact. So here I am, cake in hand, another year around the sun. Cheers to that!
Today I celebrate me! The birth of me, the person I have grown to be, the person I will become! The sister, daughter, friend I am and the mother I will be someday.
I am grateful to God for the gift of life. I am void without Him. Also thankful to my earthly parents for nurturing me into the graceful, lovely and great woman I am today.
Another year has come and gone, faster than the last. Here I am, another year older and another year wiser. What more can I say, I love myself! because like every mortal I've been on life's voyage, like every living being, I've been through a whole lot, and have had good and bad seasons and made irrational choices too. I've fallen and fallen and risen all the time. I have struggled to make ends meet and have been struck by many-a-challenge and looking back now, I see the moments were worth it. I believe that I am the equivalent to a fine wine or a delicious old cheese, the older, the better. I am thrilled to be another year older today.
To say it as it is, I wish myself a happy birthday, for another milestone achieved, for a new song to be sung, for new laughter and smile. With so much joy in my heart, I usher in this new page with a big heart. May such day fall in our lives endlessly.
Hence I request that my days be full of success and inspiration, joy and happiness, love and prosperity. Here's a drink to me! @dintellectual
