Amla is a tiny tree with a curving trunk, light green leaves, and little flower inflorescences. The plant's fruits resemble gooseberry fruits and have a sour taste. They are high in vitamins and microelements. In cosmetics and medicine, amla fruits, seeds, flowers, and bark are commonly employed.
Amla is thought to have originated in Southeast Asia. This little tree can be found practically everywhere in India's dry deciduous forests, up to an altitude of 1500 metres (in the Himalayas). Ceylon, China, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka are all actively cultivating it.
Heat (air temperature above 45 degrees) and cold temperature drops are perfectly tolerated by an adult plant. Amla grows well and produces fruit in a variety of soil types, including fertile soils, wastelands and abandoned sites, salt marshes, and arid and semi-arid locations.
