Negative emotions: calming emotions can be learned...

in life •  8 months ago

Anger, envy, grief, pain, fear... Probably all of us have felt these emotions. Congratulations, you are not human if no! I'm joking since some people get rid of this feeling rapidly. Life includes negative feelings, yet experiencing them is difficult.

So learn to recognise and handle them to calm down. Contents Recognising negative feelings Why is negative emotion hard to manage? Dealing with unpleasant emotions? Recognising negative feelings We may think it's ridiculous to define emotions because we know when we're mad with ourselves. However, occasionally everything comes together inside us and we sense a complex of feelings.

I realised I couldn't understand my negative emotions for a long time. My anxiousness made me sick and my stomach hurt, but I didn't realise it. Another example: we often confuse rage and fear!

We often feel emotionally weary without knowing why. You must introspect and understand the discomfort from the minute you detect it. To do this, we must distance ourselves from the scenario or social context that causes bad emotion and modify our perspective.

Why is negative emotion hard to manage? The issue is that we're taught to hide bad emotions. Crying in front of children, smiling while you're upset, telling men not to cry, etc. There are so many issues that I don't know where to start.

First, everyone feels emotions. You shouldn't feel guilty or ashamed for feeling emotions. Ignoring your emotions is not a solution and may even be harmful because they will manifest in other ways.

You suppressed wrath and disappointment. Experiencing these feelings for a long period will damage your relationship with yourself and your environment and alter your perception. Instead, we need to consider them to understand each other and be calmer. How can we control emotions?

Dealing with unpleasant emotions? We all want a magic wand to instantly erase unpleasant emotions. Hop! Nothing remains. Yes, but not that easy. It's normal to feel bad in real life. The key is not to overwhelm oneself or demonise strong feelings. Accept your feelings.

We must first acknowledge unpleasant emotions. We should not deny ourselves the feelings that put us in these circumstances because we are adults. Instead of suppressing it, we should embrace it. For this reason, we need acknowledge emotion and understand its cause to manage it.

To control rage, you must understand its source. Does it indicate displeasure or a boundary breach? What caused it? This is a difficult practice at first, but knowing the core of a feeling is crucial to accepting it. Don't judge your emotions.

If possible, look inside yourself objectively and with empathy. Learn Awareness: Meditation can help you manage bad emotions. Meditation teaches us to notice our feelings and surroundings. This technique helps us accept our feelings without becoming poisoned by them.

Breathing exercises reduce stress and focus on breathing to distract from pain! To illustrate, imagine being a sponge in a bowl of water. Meditation helps us avoid internalising water, which indicates negativity. We see it but don't let it affect us.
