Prayer meditation brings calm and healing. To do this, you must believe you are talking to Jesus inside. You'll feel Jesus' presence more if you use this strategy regularly. This will spread. It may seem strange at first, but it is a powerful healing tool.
"Prayer Meditation" is a sort of Christian meditation that involves praying to Jesus to understand the Bible and conquer sin. It's a great time to contemplate God's nature and history. Several Bible passages inspired the Jesus prayer. Philippians 2:6–11 describes Jesus.
Jesus Prayer Meditation can help you connect with God and yourself. This modified Hong-Sau prayer helps practitioners become closer to Jesus. Swami Kriyananda taught a Catholic priest to teach this powerful way for developing a deep longing for God. This prayer practise requires self-discipline and the willingness to sacrifice time and energy, but the rewards are great. This training prepares the mind to prioritise God.
Lectio divina—reading the Bible as God's living word—is a monastic practise. The objective of this exercise is to develop a person's connection with God as well as increase their understanding of the word of God. It helps you learn the Bible and prepare for prayer and meditation.
Lectio Divina prayer in solitude is suggested. It involves four Bible reading modes. Reading, reflecting on what was read, responding to what was read, and finally meditating are the four stages.
Hong-Sau prayer and meditation can strengthen your contact with the Holy Spirit. It improves concentrate. This practise will increase your awareness of Spirit and your higher self. The Ananda Course in Meditation teaches this practise.
Start by sitting comfortably with a neutral back and relaxed muscles. Chair or floor? It is advised to prevent from moving around too much because this could obstruct the upward flow of energy and induce restlessness. You must stay still for the first five minutes of the activity. Focus upwards if you can. The "spiritual eye" is this.
Ascetic ceremonies called hesychasm purify Orthodox Christians. Members prepare for God's meetings. Hesychasts think the practise opens them to God's grace. Hesychasm emphasises stillness, avoiding idle speech, and long-term prayer.
Hesychasts repeat the same prayer. Hesychasm is a religious practise that gradually shuts down sensory awareness and eliminates thoughts to invoke God's power. Hesychasm, a Judeo-Christian practise, resembles Buddhist meditation. "The Jesus Prayer" is a major Hesychast practise. "Intellectual prayer" focuses on God rather than the world.
Contemplative prayer and meditation are strong. It can increase awareness of God and a desire to be near to Him. Infused contemplation is a divine gift. It's like spiritual oneness with God—gratifying and ludicrous. In this state, the mind gains unique spiritual insights and the feelings are magically touched by divine love. Traditional methods and asceticism cannot recreate it.
Spiritual theology often conflates infused and acquired contemplation. Thomas Merton disagreed with separating the two kinds. He stressed the importance of direct spiritual experience over conceptual grasp of its notions. The mystic or grace-based part of spiritual practise is also rising in several spiritual areas. This includes twelve-step spirituality and Karl Rahner-influenced literature.
