Too Many Questions Ask

in life •  7 years ago

Why do I willingly give authority to other people to decide for me how I will feel at any given moment solely based on how they react? How is their reaction worthy of being given more value when I struggle daily with my own redundant, unreliable, bad habits?

Is it not universal how each one of us end up inheriting our forefather's embarrassingly deplorable, cement-like/hardened reflexes that all our lives we're struggling day in and day out trying to quit to change for the better?

Can't theirs be possibly a product of their own prejudices or their reactions based on the limited knowledge they possess of what you're truly about and who you're actually aiming towards becoming? That in their partial ignorance must not and should not be taken instantaneously as this unstained truth?

It perplexes me why I give it so much authority, such high regard, where does this trust, this overflow of worth and value for their points of view coming from? Why do I willingly give in to an alien's opines when we don't even have a rat's ass clue who these strangers are!

Shouldn't both our initial and lingering reactions to their reactions of us ought to be more skeptical than gullible?
