BUTTERFLY

We only have one life. Those word was coined by a man named Charlie Day. Stating that in life we only have a single try and once you did it, you cannot do it again. Butterflies commonly fly and feed during daytime. Their delicate color and pattern of their wings makes them unique from one another. Behind their catastrophic characteristics, they only tend to live for just days or even weeks. Life that is shorter than a full revolution of the moon around the earth. Life that human beings also living with. A single cycle that all living organism encounter, which is to be born, live and die. People are butterflies on these garden world. We are born to be unique and beautiful but why is that some stays to be in a cocoon rather than to be a butterfly?
They are feed on nectar of the flowers and on other plant liquid. They can be found everywhere either snowy mountains, temperate regions, deserts or even in hot and steamy jungles. They are well-known of the different patterns and colors of their wings that distinguish their unique appearance which brings beauty everywhere they go. These insects, according to Britannica Encyclopedia, undergoes the process of changing in form or what we known as metamorphosis. These insects are the lovely little butterflies. Insects that have been born as an egg, walks as a caterpillar, wrapping their selves in a cocoon to be able to fly as a fully grown adult butterfly fulfilling the final stage of their life cycle. People are butterflies within. They have different charms inside that only their selves can see. The only thing they have to do is to look inside of them and transform into a better person, an adult butterfly.
Richard Williams, an anthropologist, said that the richest place on earth is the graveyard. It is only in the graveyard you can find dreams never pursued, business never erected, books never written, songs never sang or inventions never invented because people are afraid of showing their potential inside. That is why they keep hiding it with their selves. Each person is unique and each have different roles to play. The role of one another is not the same how the other play theirs. One must never afraid to show their capabilities and differences. Individuals have different shot clocks. There are no overtimes in life. Thus, each must seize the moment they have by taking the shot before the clock runs out. Cherish all the moments in this short life. As what James Sherman said, “No one can go back and make a brand new beginning but anyone can start now and make a brand new ending”. Everyone must unwrap their selves and stop hiding in a cocoon and start flapping their wings all the way to the top.
As we all know, butterfly’s life cycle starts as an egg, walks as a caterpillar, changes in cocoon and transform into an adult butterfly to complete their cycle. Cycle that people also had. Whether physical, emotional or mental, everyone on this world has capabilities of becoming a butterfly. It is because each one has different features, colors, characteristics and potentials within that must be acknowledge before reaching the end of the road. Life is short to live in and if the time comes when each are facing the dark abyss, they will not regret since they live their lives to the fullest by becoming a fully grown butterfly in the society.
