What is it like to earn over $200,000 a year?

From my perspective, I think there are fears and guilts that come with earning at a high level just as there are with not earning enough to even get just a little ahead. The exact nature of the fear and guilt is probably different on the surface, but the felt experience can be the same. In each instance, we make money mean something about us that is less tangible than the bills in the bank and perhaps less accurate. Depending on how one is raised, or on personal integrity and character, making a lot of money and the choices made because of that reveals something about who we are. People do see you differently, have expectations they didn't have before, and reveal their own integrity and authenticity too in how they interact with you. The challenge I think is to become more aware of how we make meaning, how we ourselves think differently about our life and relationships, and just take it all as a kind of test or lesson on the soul's journey.
