My daughter's funky fashion designs for (her toy) Jacklean's birthday party

Jacklean (pictured above - isn't she gorgeous?) turned 5 yesterday, and the last couple of days have seen a flurry of school holiday creative activities.

Firstly, the big party needs planning. Disco - sorted. Cake - that's on me... um... Venue - sorted. Decorations - they're on me as well.

Next, the present. Ms 9 and I have spent a lot of time writing a song to perform for the special event, wishing Jacklean All the Good Things.

But really, Ms 9's outfits for Jacklean and the party guests are something else.

Ms 9 is displaying quite the flair for fashion design, imagining how each toy will look before creating a one-of-a-kind party outfit out of ribbons and pipe-cleaners.

There's a lot more work to do for Sunday's party. But I'm sure it will be awesome. Because holidays are a great time to explore our creativity!
