Please Help with the Most Basic Answers!

My current rewards, in my wallet, are 3.942 SBD and 0.831 SP. These numbers haven't changed in a month, no matter how much I post.

Also, a big chunk of my steem is "delegated" though I don't remember ever having done so. Can I stop this delegation? What is it, and what good does it do?

I've looked at a dozen Youtube videos about STEEM and Steemit, but cannot find this basic info anywhere.

Could someone PLEASE explain what I'm not doing, or doing wrong?

(I have 173 followers, growing all the time, but it doesn't seem to be at all profitable!)

Thanks in Advance!

So the rewards in your wallet are from your first post, which actually had some payout. You should "claim" those rewards in your wallet. Until you claim them, they are basically just sitting there doing nothing. Once you claim them, you will see the 3.942 SBD and 0.831 SP show up.

You currently have .504 SP (Steem Power)and .001 SBD (Steem Dollars) in your wallet, those numbers will go up once you claim your reward. The "delegated" SP is a delegation from Steemit, Inc. It provides you the bandwidth necessary to transact on the Steem blockchain. Steem Power is bandwidth - every action on Steem blockchain takes a little bandwidth, every upvote, comment, resteem, etc. If you did not have that small delegation, your account would basically be worthless as you would not even have enough bandwidth to do anything :) Hope t his helps! (and you will have some more rewards once the post pays out that I upvoted a few days back). Cheers - Carl

Thanks very much, Carl! I'm on my way back to my wallet to see how I can "claim" my reward!

(I guess when you say CLAIM you mean REDEEM, right?)

It's still very strange territory! It's a whole new language to learn. But I did already see that the 3.942 Steemit has gone up above 4.20. That's pretty cool, cuz nothing much had changed there in a month! Thanks So Much for helping, Carl!
