A quote for the read:

"Only the knife knows what goes on in the heart of a pumpkin."

It’s that time of year again! Time to carve pumpkins and light them in the night for others to see. This year I carved two pumpkins: a chicken and a tree. Those might seem kind of boring, but they turned out pretty decent. I decided to go simple this year as last year I carved a very intricate witch scene that took hours to finish. Even still, the tree I chose was not that easy…

Chicken pumpkin

Here’s my chicken pumpkin. In case you couldn’t tell, it’s a chicken :)

Tree pumpkin

And here is my haunted tree carving. This one had very small pieces so some of it was accidentally lost to the knife.

Witch pumpkin

This is the witch scene I carved last year. Apparently I had more patience last year because this seems like it would be harder to do than the tree, and it turned out better.

After carving out many pumpkins, we ended up with a lot of seeds. Best thing to do with them – bake em’ and salt em’!

P.S. this is after I already ate two-pounds :)

For all you who celebrate it, Happy Halloween!

Love the tree and the witch. Great job!
