I started meditation 2 days ago by pure curiosity.
I thought, if various states of mind can be induced by drugs and hypnotization, they might as well be induced by myself!
I purchased a book called "The Mind Illustrated". It is written by a professional lay meditator John Yates.
He studied physiology as a PhD student, so the book is more "scientific" than other meditation books I think. Apparently, it is not a book for the absolute beginner like me. I had zero expectation about meditation, and to be honest, I didn't really know about it. The book is more like a technical manual than an introduction to meditation.
I will post stories about my adventure in meditation here.
Also I would love to hear from fellow meditators!
