We live in a strange world, a world where you don't always get everything you rightfully deserve nor what you eagerly yearn to have or to achieve so as to feed your comfort. It's an awkward life, a life full of misfortunes, catastrophes, obstacles and rock's of ages that deter your fantasy life.
What I have figured so far as that aspect is concerned is, you've got to be aggressive at all times and have the temerity to withstand every thing that you think is detrimental to your success in life.
Life isn't assured, a good life isn't bought, luck in life is very rare, you have to face it and sculpt it the way you feel it suits you.
You have to fight, YES, fight and fight this battle that is life as long as you're alive. Get the right tools for war, get into the battlefield and face the Goliath that is life. Nothing good comes easy, easy come easy go. You can't just wish and dream of a good life without pursuing it. You must face the furnace inorder to glitter.
Be confident, be yourself, refuse to live in the comfort zone, stop leaving a mediocre life that you see others live, push yourself out of circles that are lowering your ability to live the life you've always envisioned, set your standards and declare to abide by them.
what are you passionate about? Do you have goals and dreams? Do you want something so bad? Then what is holding you? Face your fears, face your obstacles, face your life enemies, discipline your inner self, work on your goals. Action time is action time, move towards what life enthroned unto you, move fast and act and refuse to be a loser.
You were born to be great, to achieve massive success and to leave a mark of excellence to coming generations. Do it, and do it big.

I think one of the biggest things that hold us back is the fear of being ourselves and the fear of judgement. Which is a very valid fear seeing how people can be so cruel with their words.
For the longest time I really struggled with letting my real self out. Growing up I was heavily bullied and always had eyes on me ready to judge my every move so why in the world would I risk showing myself?
As I grew some thicker skin and matured I slowly realized that people actually like the real me! Whhaaaaa?? Lol. I think it's important, especially as women, to empower each other along with raising our youth to do the same.

Wow. Honey, this was such a powerful feedback. I believe you as I have gone through it myself. It's not until recently that I started embracing some aspects of my life fully. It's so much better to be youself, less energy wasted and alot of harmony that comes from having the piece of mind.
