Birthplace Of A Dream

Immerse yourself in the Ferrari story past and present, and top off the experience with a bit of time travel to the future too.

A 1000 bucks for the person, who wrote this introduction sentence on the web page of the Ferrari Museum. I know, that even if I wouldn't be interested to read and see more, after reading this I just can't resist. In today's post, I will show you some wonderful photos I made in the mentioned museum, which I visited in 2008. Omg, that's 10 years ago, but it still feels like it was yesterday.

It was raining cats and dogs when we arrived in Maranello, Italy. And even the famous Prancing Horse couldn't run away from it.

Every minute outside seems like an hour - a little because of the bad weather, but mostly because of the excitement and anticipation we were feeling inside.

The place was enormous, and so many things to see, that I just can't post all of the photos I made that day. For today, I decided to post some of the famous Ferrari cars, that I saw there.

From 1954 - Ferrari 250 coupe V12 60° and 2953cc,

1957 - Ferrari 250 GT California V12 60° and 2953cc,

to 1964 - Ferrari 275 GTB V12 60° - 3285cc,

and 2000 - Ferrari 360 spider V8 90°- 3586cc.

I even saw there a grey car, which highly disappointed me, because, for me, there is no other color for the famous Ferrari, dot.

I think this one, is from 2002 (the photo is a bit blurry, so I can't read the sign beside it) - thanks to @srmn and @macesen to pointing out the fact, that this is Enzo Ferrari,

But from all the red beauties, which I saw, this behind is the one that stayed in my mind.

Those Ferraris are so shiny and polished, I'd be afraid to drive one out in the elements and get it all dirty. Thanks for sharing these awesome shots!

Exactly...:) If I would have one, and try to drive it to my home, I think I would be stuck in a first road hole hundred miles from it. ;)

im not that much of a rari fan, but cars in general and i guess, i goota get my ass over there soon. hopefully i will be able to make a roadtrip to maranello in the near future...well, i don´t even have a car right now lol

Oh I want a Ferrari so badly!!! :D

I think we should write to Santa because this is a bit out of our league. :)

Only for now!! :)

Hopefully yes.😀

Great post, great enjoyment. 18th February, 1898. The same passion stands in everything we do. EnzoFerrariDay

Quite an interesting journey he had and things he achieved.

I've always been asked, 'What is my favorite car?' and I've always said 'The next one.'

Hehe... :) I had just one registered in my name, and it was far far away from Ferrari. ;)

Amazing look into one of my absolute favourites italian brands, the other one being Lamborghini.

Fun Fact between the two car manufactorer:

Ferruccio Lamborghini went to Enzo Ferrari about some potential improvements Enzo could make to the model of the Ferrari that he owned (Ferruccio back then in the '50s-'60s was a successful tractor builder).
In spite of having been respectful and all while conveying his advices, Enzo very condescendingly told him he didn't need any help from a tractor maker. Consequently, Ferruccio embarked on the journey to build the greatest car in the world for himself.

An interesting fact indeed... I think they told us this story when we were there, but I was so amazed by the beauty of cars, that the words slipped through one ear in, and the other out...

You mentioned Lamborgini - did you saw my post about them from a week before? ;)

i did not actually because i had just found out about you without having the possibility to do more than just leave a fun fact that i felt like sharing! But omw to do it! Thanks 👍

Hihi. Like me. I have about 20 tabs in my browser opened for later. 😇

That must have been an absolutely amazing experience. I love the picture showing the formula 1 skeleton inside the body of the other car. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, it really was. :) The skeleton inside was one of the many posters in the gallery, which caught my eye.

I made quite a few photos of formula 1 development, but I just couldn't mix the two of them in one post - it would be way too long. You should check my blog in the near future, and maybe it would be interesting for you to see.

Cavallino rampante.

:)

I really wonder in my life time, I would get to drive one of these.

You never know... :)

I think that one is a 2002 Enzo from what I can tell...the one where you couldn't read the sign :).

Oh dummy, I forgot to check on web. Thank you - I will add this data to my post, if you don't mind. ;)

Hello, @emmamia my name is Ian Edwards, I'm a freelance journalist doing an article about the experiences of content creators on Steemit. Would you be willing to discuss your experience with me? Any insights you have would be appreciated. You can see my work here on Steemit at @enedws and I'm on Twitter at @ianedws. Thank you!

I'm not a big car fan but I imagine seeing all of those must have been pretty awesome!

Believe me, all the data about the cars don't stay in my mind, but the view of them, and their development is just amazing and sticks with you when you see them all in one place.

Especially, when you see something like this at times when we were (and still) huge fans of Michael Schumacher as a Ferraris Formula 1 driver.

Wow! You chose great museums to visit. First Lamborghini, now Ferrari, wonder what's next :) Must've been really great. That is Ferrari Enzo in that photo and it is from 2002. Wish for a 250 GTO, it's only some 50 million dollars :)

;) Hehe. Indeed I did, and it was really great. I never regret my decision to go on the adventure like this, when being the only girl on the trip. ;)

About GTO - you never know, but you can always dream big.

a very luxurious car friend, a good post.

Thank you very much!

I love this! So amazing! <3 You made a good and interesting post!
