We live hectic lives that is full of stress, pressure and tension as we strive
to attain our different goals. The drive and pressure that characterize our
lives now make developing mental illnesses a real possibility, especially
in work places thrive on intense pressure.
This pressure has not even spared the children with the competetive
nature of schools now and the need to have far above average grades
in other to be able to get that admission into a top school or that job
in a top firm.
This pressure can get to you and one way to stave off the negatives effects
is to live a life of positivity. To be perpetually even when all evidence point
to the contrary. Here are some ways to remain that outlook.
1.Start your day right
To stay positive during the day is tied to how you start the day. If you start
it deciding to be positive, you would carry that attitude through the day.
I'm not saying things that would test your resolve would not happen, but
you can make sure they do not get you down.
Perform your chores in a slow and easy manner, have a hearty breakfast
and talk to your loved ones. This would help you start the day right.
2.Remain positive even in negative situations
Sometimes, life throws you a curveball. Something you did not see it
coming but that is affecting you negatively. Do not give in to your
despair. Fight it and look for the positives that can be found in the
situation. Think of the fact that, that negative period is a phase, and like
all phases, it will pass. Keep your cool and face the situation with
optimistic views.
3.Create a positive environment
Try to live in a positive environment. Make friends with people who can
cheer you up and will support you in your bad times. Go out on a trip
rather than sitting in front of your TV all day. Explore nature and enjoy
your life.
4.Avoid negative people
This is the flip side above. Just as you surround yourself with the right
people, make sure those who bring negative energy into your space are
kept away. Doing this make sure there are fewer hindrances on your path
to positivity. Some people get easily irritated and this destroy their
confidence and positivity, and anger overtakes them. So the best bet is to
stay away from what triggers you in such a manner or things that are of
general negative.
5.Lend a helping hand
Try to help others and bring positivity into their lives. Try to become a
motivation for others by doing good deeds and working hard. This will
not only make you feel positive, it will also affect the other person whom
you helped positively.
6.Take care of your physical and mental health
Lastly, keep yourself safe and healthy. Eat and sleep regularly, exercise
daily or learn yoga and meditation. Don't let things bother you when a
big problem comes up, remain positive and confident as you look for
solution.
Whether you are a child or an adult, don't let small things which do not
matter much in your life bother you, just ignore those things and
never give up. Learn from your failures but never forget your achievement
Though both may come and go but the experience will remain with us.
Give your life the best shot and know that in the end, when you look back,
you can say you lived right; you lived well.
