I QUIT SMOKING !!!

in life •  6 years ago

I've finally done it - The monkey is off my back! Over the last 18 years I've only quit once for 18 months. If you've been around my blog for long you've no doubt see me talk about my love of tobacco tubes. Seriously I loved smoking.

This juice is called "Milkshake Man" - It's like a creamy strawberry milkshake from a diner

VAPE NATION YALL!!!

1 month to the day before my 30th birthday I woke up and decided I needed to make a change - it was time to quit. I drove to a local vape shop and handed over what was left of my pack. Yes I know vaping is for douchebags......

But you know what? I'm fine with being a douche if it means I can live longer. I chose vaping because it's 95% healthier than smoking. My heavy nicotine addiction and mental need to puff on shit meant quitting cold turkey wasn't an option - it wasn't going to happen again.

We're at roughly 100 days now. I've cut my nicotine levels down from 9mg to 3mg. Gone from over 250 puffs a day down to well under 100. Will I quit completely ? I don't know - like I said I really loved tobacco. I miss it. Like a lot. But I like living and not smelling like an ashtray more. Vaping is giving me the nicotine I enjoy and gives me something to puff on.

Just thought I'd give you guys an update. If you're a fellow douche fluter drop me a line in the comments - tell me about your mod and what juice you're rocking right now!

That's all for now!
Hope you're well.
Peace and love.
Happy holidays.
Now.
Fuck off
😉

Quitting wasn't too hard for me, though stress had me start a 2nd time.. within a couple yrs after, i mentally told myself, i don't need it anymore.. Craving died after a couple of weeks.. smoke free 12yrs maybe just over.. being round others who sometime do, i'm not keen on it, so i avoid the smell where possible.

Happy to hear you shook the beast. It's horrible. Hoping to be off nicotine in the next two months. Then nomkre vaping. Yeah the smell makes me wanna throw up. CNA stand it.

Congratulations on quitting! I've never been a smoker, but have used other tobacco products and I can imagine the difficulty in stopping. I've always considered myself to be a work in progress, so perhaps you feel that way as well. I also find it beneficial to say things out loud to verbalize them. A friend of mine calls that "getting some air on them". Perhaps in your case, just verbalizing, "I'm not a smoker" would help. Either way, congrats man. I'm proud of you!

Thanks for stopping in Captain. Verbalizing totally helps the morning I quit I just said it out loud a few times. "I'm done. No more smoking". I appreciate the kind words of encouragement. Thank you!

Hey glad you quit smoking. now to quit vaping here is my theory ... remember when cigarettes came out doctors said it was good for you they even endorsed it then 20 years later they were like maybe we shouldn't be smoking. I have a feeling 20 years down the line we are going to be seeing health problems linked to vaping, putting anything in our lungs can't be a good thing. I'm sure it's much healthier than cigarettes though. I'm trying to get my mom to quit smoking do you have any tips shes tried pretty much everything.

Congratulations!

Just in time before the year ends.
