SPREAD YOUR WINGS PART 2-min.png

Keep your feet on the ground, but let your heart soar as high as it will
-Unknown-

That's another pretty decent quote right there!

This is Part 2 of my 'Spread Your Wings' post series. If you haven't read Part 1 yet, I have linked it at the bottom of this post. I encourage you to go read that first. If you have already, then let's proceed!

Is society dragging us down? I feel as if the world is in this habit of being super average. Nothing too exciting.
People are conditioned to not want more out of life. In the previous post I spoke about the 'little voice' inside your head. Well, that voice can also be described as life. Just life in general.
life does not want you to succeed. If life itself wanted us all to step out of our comfort zones, and just grow as individuals, then why don't we just do this all naturally?

That's why. It's completely unnatural.
Life has one purpose for us: To recreate. Our only real physical purpose here is to make babies, and pass-on our DNA. What else would we be here for? The world we see around us today was all human-made. Unless the house you're living in grew out of the ground, it is completely unnatural.
This same mentality should be put into action towards the things you want to achieve in your life.

Okay, so it's clear now that life does not want us to do things differently. With that being said, living life in a normal, natural state is then described as being 'average'.
So what's the solution? How do you truly grow?
You need to do the opposite. This isn't very easy, but you need to learn to manipulate your body. It's the only way.
It's going to hurt. Your body will try to reject it, but that is truly the only way to grow as a person. You need to surpass your own threshold. You need to manually 'cut out' your wings from your back. That's what it takes.. But once that pain and suffering is over with, you would have evolved into a stronger, better, grown version of your old-self.
Let me know your thoughts! I have 25K SP right now, so I reward good comment accordingly!

I've always had the opposite voice in my head. My voice tells me to step out of my comfort zone, try new things, take risks, do what I love. It's my mother in my ear that keeps me playing it safe.

Subject now is GROWTH....
For me this can be interpreted in different contexts, could be physically, etc or based on actual experience,
Most at times, in a certain workplace, growth is based on rising up in a position or rank..Is this really what it means? I say not, but maybe for many, yes..No, because like one wherein you may accept or decline promotion, eg. U have the option to pursue or not.(but not closing doors). For me, the mere coming up with that hard decision where evrything is at stake is already GROWTH. That even u know u can be, but for some reasons u dont.?The fact that u r ready for the consequences for that choice u made is already a sign of maturity. I equate GROWTH TO MATURITY..

I dont think that if 1 doesnt rise in ranks, he is not Growing. How about the actual experiences, the success in handling diffrent things, are these not indicatives that one has learned and grown up?sometimes, too, im pretty sure that some of those who are inferior in ranks are much better than those up...and handling this situation right is for me, GROWTH already...

I am talking this on the context of 1 in a working world. BEING FLEXIBLE, being able to handle diffrent situations right....is GROWTH.

Finally, i think we should not forget the Johari windows of our personality...4 windows..
I know, u know.
I know, u dont know..
I dont know, u know..
I dont knkw, u dont know..
This wil make us Grow in our dealings.

not so long..1 aspect only.. thanks for nice post.. thanks for the time.

Really nice comment. I enjoy this thoroughly!

@enazwahsdarb i've always taught when i was younger that i must succeed in everything that I do and failure is not an option. If i were to fail, society aren't forgiving and remembers your failure.

But now that i'm alot older and hopefully wiser, i'm beginning to appreciate the failures in my life as i reflect on them. These "failures" seems terrible and disappointment at the point of my life, or at least they are to my parents and friends.

However, as I look back, without those failures, I will not be humbled. I will not be as reflective of my life. I will not learn what it meant to be tenancious.

With these failures, i learnt more. I grew more. I learnt to be appreciative of what i have.

So i guess failure is part of living. One just need to learn from the mistakes and not to be afraid of failing.

Only when I'm willing to try something new or take risk, then will i be able to fly above my current natural state.

What do u think?

If i were to fail, society aren't forgiving and remembers your failure.

You know, I understand that concept and all, but failure is only natural. We all need to fail sometime, so we can persevere to succeed :)

or at least they are to my parents and friends.

I'm a very blunt person when it comes to these things.. But screw them! I don't care if they are parents, or anybody. They are not supportive, and they are just hatin :D Haters gonna hate!

With these failures, i learnt more. I grew more. I learnt to be appreciative of what i have.

WOW that was solid! Totally agreed.

I think that was awesomely said! Thanks for your nice comment.

I think life is indifferent to our goals and ambition. It's the herd mentality that holds us back. 100,000 years of huddling together for safety and warmth. Step away from the huddled masses and you're likely to get eaten by whatever is out there, we're told from early on...

There is comfort and relative safety in following the well-trampled path. But that path was not blazed by the bold. And if you talk about walking off into the mist, who's going to encourage you? Not the huddled masses...

It's OK to accept mediocrity. Your life is your own. But if you seek growth, it's yours for the making although you'll likely be on your own. If others won't walk into the darkness, don't expect them to equip you to do so...

So well said man! Love it.

I think life is indifferent to our goals and ambition.

We all have different perceptions.. So I think that will end up being the influencer in our real emotions.

It's OK to accept mediocrity.

True. The masses always do. But like you said, IF you want growth, then you need to step into the mist.

I appreciate your nice comment!

Really really my inspiration ...
Thanks so much for post @enazwahsdarb

Awesome stuff! Well I have a few more out already :P

See you there!

This is so fresh. You're right, going an extra mile in life is unnatural. It takes us away from being average that's what we got to do to be stronger. Thanks for the amazing words, dude.

You're GOOD, Jesse Pinkman!!!!

going an extra mile in life is unnatural

It's exactly that in a nutshell! Well said.

Just doing more than what is expected will already bring much better results.

Thanks for this!

I laughed so hard on this "Our only real physical purpose here is to make babies" lol!

Hahaha LOL. Yeah.. Well, can you think of another genetic purpose besides that? :P

Hahaha actually I agreed with this, it's just that I thought of the sensual idea :P

@enazwahsdarb first of all, I wish steemit would put notifications on people that we want to see first so it would not be that hard for us to stalk the people we like. I'm a little bit sad for not seeing your post on the same day you published it.

Anyway, No matter how you keep your feet on the ground, as firm as you could, there are always people who will try to insist their own believes as your reality. They will tell you how you've changed a lot, how you discriminate them, and how boastful you become. They assume and quickly judge the person not based on what that person really said or respond but based on their own perspective. They quickly judge and assume without even calmly confronting the person.

Normal is boring. So we want to do the opposite of what the normal people do. That's really a great idea. If you want to become a part of that 1%, you need to prepare yourself for you will not only go to a single battle. You'll undergo a series of battle. Winning against yourself is the longest and most difficult battle of all. And here are the naysayers, toxic people, and people with a crab mentality. These people is hunting for a person who is brave enough to climb the wall. When they have their target, they will start to pull that person down as much as they could. They will resist the change you are making and they will continually insist their own beliefs in you. If you refuse their beliefs they will tell you how you discriminate them, how you change, how high you fly because you are already successful but in your "OWN" version of your reality is different. When people consider you as a success, you see yourself as you taking the first step towards your goal. When people tell you how you change, how you discriminate them, and how high you soar, you are actually tracking and keeping up with your goals. You are actually spending sleepless night studying and applying the things you learn to become better. You are actually exploring, discovering and experimenting. And as you do that you'll learned different things. Lessons that can change your own philosophy.

If you think you are strong enough: mentally, physically, and emotionally then please... feel free to climb the wall and soar as high as you can. If you really want to become a part of that 1 percent be willing to fall, be willing to be criticize, be willing to cry, be willing to be depressed, and be willing to walk alone. Be willing to say no to parties and gatherings. Be willing to postpone your dream trip, be willing to neglect and get neglected. Be willing to continue no matter how slow your progress is. As long as you are making that step, in no time, all the hard works, the sacrifice, and trials will reap great rewards.
