I don't write good posts

in life •  5 years ago

         This is completely random.

Last night, I learned that Wendy's brought back their spicy chicken nuggets back on the menu. Well, since August of this year. That's right, @pjau, bloody chicken nuggets. As usual, I'm late to the party again.

I read that the fast food chain tweeted about it in the summer and promised they would bring it back. That is, if the tweet received more than 2 million likes. Of course, the people prevailed. Wendy's cited that they pulled the spicy variant off of their menu due to lack of demand. I call bullshit.

Similar thing happened at my university. I recall the spokesperson claimed that there was no demand for caffeinated drinks. What a load of horse crap that was.

Why is this significant? It isn't...to most people.

I remember when they pulled the nuggets from their menu back in 2017. At the time, I was going through a dark phase of my life. The removal of the spicy nuggets was like robbing salt on my wounds. When the cashier told me that they no longer sell those, I walked straight out of Wendy's and never looked back.

It's been a few years since then. I would say life has gotten better. And the return of those delicious nuggets is a sign. A sign that everything will be better soon. At least, step by step, a little at a time. Market has you down? It's gonna get better. I hope. All you STEEM fanboys and girls shall see the light soon.

But yes, I woke up today and that was the first thing I did: I went to Wendy's to pick up those nuggets.

I bought more than that to share with the family, but those are my personal stash. Nobody gets between me and my nuggets. Sometimes, the simple things are the most precious things in life. And these nuggets are distant third on my list.

Now, excuse me while I finish enjoying these delicacies. Until then, I bid you adieu.

Don't do anything I would do.

I’m curious. This would be the first time I’ve been interested to a fast food menu item with my own money.

Caffeine anything not in demand? That’s BS. 😬

Simple things are precious. Well said.

Have you been to a Wing Stop? They serve celery with everything. It’s a simple pleasure with chicken for me.

No, I have not.

I have seen a few of them around the city. I may have to make a detour for them at some point.

They have bone in and bone less also. It’s worth a try.

Got some a while ago after seeing a tweet bout it.

As bad as it sounds, a major staple of my eldest daughters diet are chicken nuggets. She tends to favor Mickey D's but figured we'd try something new.

Saw a comment about them not being very spicy at all. Probably from my perspective, no. "It'll be fine, right!"

Wrong!

Needless to say she was not a happy camper.

McNuggets are okay, but these spicy nuggets are awesome.

They are even better when they are fresh off the fryer. The slight zing is great. She needs to learn about the good things in life.

Absolutely it's the little things that matter most to the individual that are the most important. And it's these 'little' personal posts from people that are the most important for Steem.
Best wishes to you....you need fries though ;-)

I believe they're called chips 😉

No, they are french fries. Those pathetic little strings of nothing have no right to be called chips lol

I actually did get fries. But, the nuggets were in the spotlight.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

If there was a Wendy's here I'd go now and also get a baked potato... There is hope

A baked potato? There isn't hope...not for you anyway my friend :)

Their fries are also pretty good.

I would eat that

I would eat it again.
