Yesterday it was reported that Tesla is bringing a display fleet of the Model 3 to Europe. A good reason to give another update on my personal progress towards one!
What is the Model 3 going to cost?
At the moment that question is not easy to answer since the price of a Model 3 in The Netherlands is not yet known. However I previously tried to estimate it based on the relative price of the Model S in NL compared to the US. Since Tesla recently updated (read: increased...) the price of some of its models, I had to recalculate the expected price of a Model 3 here.
In the table below it can be seen that, when you use the relative price (which is 117.6% higher in € than in $), a Model 3 should start at about €41,150, that is about €200 more than previously calculated.

My Crypto portfolio
As of today my crypto portfolio consists of nearly €1,746 in BTC and ETH and my Steemit wallet has an estimated value of € 329. In total that is about over € 2,175.
Progress to Model 3
Based on these numbers I now own enough crypto-money to buy 5.0% of a Model 3. Compared to the last time I calculated my progress (which was 4,8%), I've made a little progress. However, I still need to make (and invest) a lot more money in crypto before the Model 3 is starting to get in reach.
I just hope the crypto market is going to boom from 2019 onwards, so I'll be able to come a bit closer to my goal. If not, I probably need to wait for an affordable second hand one in the year 2025 or so...
