The tour of Estonia - The Pakri Costal Cliffs

The Pakri Cliffs

The last post about the sights we visited while in Estonia, the Pakri costal cliffs. ”Suicide Cliffs” as we called them. The name is somewhat accurate because just a few days earlier somebody did drive off the cliffs and committed suicide. There was no marks from it, other than spray paint on the lawn. The policemen had painted the tracks of the car and marked the spot where the car drove off the cliffs. It was unreal to see the tracks on a ground, it might sound a bit horrible but if you really are committing suicide, the cliffs kinda are really efficient way to handle that. And at least the last view was helluva beautiful … I’m really bad at coming up anything positive to say about it. @greddyforce told us that there might be a fence coming up, because not like this was the first time somebody drove off.

Anyway, cliffs were quite breathtaking. I used to suffer from the fear of heights, I’m so glad that I’m not having that problem anymore. We were laying on the ground near the edge of cliffs and taking photos, unnecessarily close to the edge. Mom, if you ever find out what I’m doing with my free time, I’m sorry! @greddyforce actually posted about our trip too, and there is photo that really shows, how idiots we are. Go and check his post from HERE. So, go. GOOO!
I have to say, I don’t think I captured the scale of that place. Well you can see the scale a little from the picture where @eveuncovered is sitting on the edge of cliff, safe and sound. Damn those rocky walls were tall!

Funny fact: We are kind of horrible when comes to obeying instructions. So, when we headed back to car so we could drive to our another destination, we just happened to read this sign. The sign was huge ( I have no idea how we missed it when we first came there…) and it was basically saying, with several languages, that you shouldn’t go too near to the edge, or just do it at one's own risk, because there might be possibility that the edge of cliff could split and fall to the sea. Yep, that would have been handy information to have BEFORE we were laying on the ground on the edge of cliff. Well, you can’t have it all…. Tho, if we had read the warning sign we might have missed some good opportunity’s because you really got the best pictures from the edge.

And when you find this stair from the cliff, isn’t it just natural to ”jump” there to take photos, even if you kind of realize that it is one bad idea and you definitely should climb off, like as fast as you can. Anyhow, the most important thing was that nobody got hurt, we had fun and we took some damn fine photos. AND NO FOMO!

Opportunities opportunities

I hate to admit but I’m glad that @rubencress is like a hyper ADD-kid when comes to wanting things. If he hadn’t been such pain in the ass about it, @eveuncovered never would have contacted @greddyforce and made the trip happen. We also would have missed great opportunity to meet another awesome steemian. So, even if the enthusiasm of Ruben is sometimes (read: All the time) a bit hard to handle, I’m really glad he is that way. And if you read this Ruben, your head is big enough already, no need to size it up anymore.

The whole weekend have been truly amazing. Who knew that we all would get along! I had my doubts about meeting these people in flesh. But actually nobody really surprised me. Everyone were exactly as I pictured them to be, and how they are in chat and all. So, meeting them in person was like hanging with old friends even if we met first time ever. I really think that we all felt somewhat similar about each others, not like we were strangers to each others, not in any point.

When you talk with people in daily basis, you almost forget that you actually don’t know them, yet when you actually meet them the very first time it is like you had known them forever. I handle social gatherings pretty well, even if I don’t really like people generally. Usually people drain me dry, okay, I’m exhausted at the moment, not like I have to usually be social 5 days on a row. But as a waiter in one restaurant told to us: ”You are so similar”, and I think we truly are. And I feel that is the reason I don’t feel that drain out. Okay, we looked really similar. If someone wants to know what is cool and hip this spring I’d say denim and black leather! But also we had the common factor, Steem.

When you are spending time with people you actually like ( Yes, I actually like some people. There is a news for you!) you don’t feel that exhausted afterwords. I’m aware that I have ranted about not even liking the word ”community”, but I have to take my words back, just a little. Even if I’m not a fan of community based stuff I can admit that there might be time and place for that too. When the right people get together, you might come up something pretty awesome by accident.

You know, the best thing about Steem is that even if it "fails," it's already succeeded. All the new friendships that have been forged on this platform... all the meet-ups. That's real companionship and happiness that have been generated and those things can never be undone no matter what happens to this place.

@lemony-cricket commented this on the the first post from Estonia, and I couldn’t agree more. None of us knows what is going to happen to the Steem, and to be honest I personally have got so much out of it already that the time have been worth it what ever happens.

Thanks guys! It truly was amazing to meet you all! Thanks for all the wonderful memories, even patcave, tho, I’m never going back!

@beercake @thebunbun @kristves @greddyforce @eveuncovered @rubencress @celestal @m31

That was some helluva weekend that I’m not going to forget anytime soon!

<3 so much love in here

The exact same quote from @lemony-cricket raised into my mind while reading this. It's unbelievable how Steem(it) has, despite its flaws, managed to bring all us weirdos together to meet and make actual real life connections with each others!

Steemit, gathering the weirdos of bchain together!

❤️ Have we ever looked this happy before?

So ded right now, but so worth it.

My face hurts from all the smiling... And i'm so ded....

Smiling causes wrinkles....

Luckily botox is cheap in Estonia, so we can go back!

You are getting old mr. burglar 😝

Those Polaroids make me feel sad i was unable to come! :)

I am happy everybody had a great time! This should be called somehow and repeated each year of more often.

I have a feeling that this wasn't the last time :D

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

This x 100.

Just imagine... what do we tell our parents, they have a shitclue who we are with. And who gets the master keys?

HAHAH #cryptoproblems ! Who gets the master keys after death. I'm sticking in story "i was there with eve", for now. Tho, unexplainable deaths in cliffs would have changed that story a bit...

You'd be like: no? I wasnt there at all!

Yes, exactly. I deny everything!

Looks like a fun meeting. In the future it would be nice to see this gang of photoholics here in Kaunas.

Have to work a little, so can afford to travel again. Who knows what is the next place!

I realized that you guys were all so dark. I'm the only bright motherfucker with yellow clothing hahaha :D

Should I edit them to be b&w? you'd fit better :P

No need, Its cool to be that special one.

I drop something in mail for you today ! Beware the postman ;)

Nice, I will :)
