A few years back, I was imagining waking up on a Monday morning with a smile on my face and excitement about how I will spend the day – especially during the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.

It sounds absurd. Impossible, even.

And taking a Wednesday afternoon off – without having to ask permission – just so I can have an impromptu adventure with my family.

I’m a natural dreamer yet sometimes my chosen actions don’t seem to support that.

I’d finished university a few years earlier, and instead of continuing to chase my passions, I had stayed put. I was trapped like a deer in the headlights of life. Paralyzed on my “need a day job to survive” mentality.

Don’t get me wrong, especially if you are like me that wasn’t born naturally rich; we need a job to survive. But “9-5 day job” is unnecessary and limiting.

An 8-hour slavery that can’t even afford my short-term dreams? I am done.

What if, just what if, I could make quadruple the income I am making today, but by only working two hours (or zero hours!) from a laptop on a balcony overlooking a pristine Caribbean beach?

That was part of my fantasy.

Sadly, more often than not, I am the first person who will criticize my fantasies. In fact, I actually thought that for the longest time I’m doing myself a favor by having a regular check-up with Dr. Reality.

Results came, I was diagnosed with 4th stage FEAR.

It is deadly, but thank God it is curable.

I don’t know about you, but the formula that healed me and made me finally escaped my 9-5 day job is simple; generous intake of prayers + a little leap of faith + bias for action = unstoppable fire!

Today, I am now the “self-proclaimed” Virtual Superstar.

Maybe I’m still working more than two hours and not yet on a balcony overlooking a pristine Caribbean beach, but hey, working whenever I want from a laptop on a local beach nearby, is already euphoria to me.
