Makeup- true beauty

in life •  7 years ago

There used to be a lady called Chika Ezekwere at Cool FM.
Whenever she was on air, she fetched joy from her soul,
And distributed to her listeners.
Everyone got a full dose.

.
I argue,
That it is easier for a Musician to cheer, than a Painter.
Musicians lace words and emotions together and toss into our souls,
Painters paint, but they have no control over how we perceive their work.
.
.
So I ask my friend who is a makeup artist.
Do you know you have a difficult job as a make-up artist?
Because people who come to you would expect
That you transmit the beauty of your soul onto theirs.
Can you really do that?
.
.

I believe you can.
I believe in you.
Cuz you’re the face of happiness and kindness ,
Who upped the mood in the room or car with her sweetness.
.
.
So I charge you to not just colour faces, but colour souls too.
Because external beauty is a farce if there’s a dearth of it inside.
Tell ladies that your lip strokes shine brighter on lips that do not lie;
That your eye-shadow works better with eyes that see the best in the people.
.
.
Tell them that your art merely enhances,
That true beauty is follow-come.
And that they should not destroy that one because they
Think they can easily go get it back at Chic N Cherry Makeovers.
.
.
God bless you this day....
