Open-minded is a broad mind, detached and free attitude, and it is also one of the highest realms of human personality.
Generally speaking, open-minded and cheerful people are more tolerant and can understand and respect other people's different views, thoughts, speeches, behaviors and even their religious beliefs and ethnic concepts. Do not easily impose what you think is right or wrong on others. They sometimes disagree with other people's opinions or practices, but they will respect other people's choices and give others the right to think freely and live.
Sometimes, it is open-mindedness that leads to tolerance, and tolerance leads to freedom. I remember Mr. Hu Shi said that if everyone wants to enjoy freedom, everyone should adopt two attitudes: in terms of morality, everyone should have the virtue of modesty, and everyone must hold their own views, not necessarily the right attitude. In the psychological aspect, everyone should have an open mind and inclusive magnanimity to tolerate opinions that are different from or even opposite to their own.
In other words, after adopting these two attitudes, you will tolerate my opinion and I will tolerate your opinion, so that everyone will enjoy freedom.
Of course, being open-minded doesn't mean tolerating others indefinitely, and being open-minded doesn't mean accepting or tolerating crimes that have caused harm. But for individuals, being open-minded often leads to better interpersonal relationships, and they also reduce hatred and unhealthy emotions psychologically. For a group, tolerance and cheerfulness are undoubtedly the regulators of creating a harmonious atmosphere. Therefore, being open-minded and tolerant is a magic weapon to establish good interpersonal relationships, and it is also the embodiment of a person's perfect personality.
An American writer once said: There is no leniency without being open-minded. No matter how successful we are, no matter how high we climb, no matter how much leisure we have, no matter how many beautiful goals we look at, and no tolerance, we will still suffer from inner pain. The world's largest is the ocean, the sky is bigger than the ocean, and the human mind is bigger than the sky. There are countless examples in ancient and foreign countries of winning others' friendship and love or eliminating hatred and grudges because of their open-minded, cheerful, tolerant and humble character.
Only when a person is open-minded, cheerful and tolerant can he accept others, be good at getting along with others, recognize the significance and role of others, be understood and accepted by others, be accepted by the collective, communicate and interact with others, coordinate interpersonal relationships and be integrated with collective members.
People who are gregarious can often share happiness with friends, showing more positive attitudes than negative emotions. Even when you are alone, you can live in peace without feeling lonely. Because this kind of person with positive emotion will feel the value of his existence, can make proper and objective evaluation of his own ability, personality, emotion, strengths and weaknesses, will not put forward harsh and unrealistic demands on himself, can properly determine his own goals and principles of being a man, and strive to exert his own potential, without avoiding and denying his own defects, and try to infect others with his own optimism. It is these characteristics that win everyone's love and recognition.
