It's fun to go on walks and good exercise, our kids need lots of activity. We took a walk down by the river this morning and took a few pictures of the experience. There is a giant staircase by the levee that they like climbing up and down, but Nessa ended up getting hurt by being extra active trying to run down the hill. She scraped up her arms and knees but it is a good lesson to her to take it easy when scaling hills and coming back down.
We have a double stroller so we as adults can get some exercise without the kids stopping every few feet or asking to be carried. They are good walkers and when the time is right they like to get some steps in for the day and run up and down the bike path. Another reason to have the stroller is that when there is heavy bike traffic it is not safe for the kids to be running loose as it is difficult for the bikers to slow down or avoid the kids meandering in their paths. Our goal is to start taking morning walks as much as possible to get some good low impact cardio.
