We've had those strong winds here in England too, I could actually feel my house moving when I was in bed this morning, kinda scary! Have you considered going on a longer vacation? Taking a month to Tibet or something, to completely reset? Might be a way to readjust into the new world. Not sure though, but it might be able to help you :)

Yeah I have! But I have been stuck with these 24/7 contracts for years and could never leave for long times. Now, I'm planning to go to Brazil with Bianca by the end of the year for at least 3 weeks.

Well Said, this for me too is a constant battle! As I see the old debt ridden credit based system collapsing, along with stagnant wages I wonder how much transitional pain will be felt as people move to the new block chain based world! Also as the value of the dollar continues to collapse Verse most crypto’s one starts to wonder if they should jump ship all at once and then hold on for dear life as we witness the greatest transfer of wealth in history!

These wild price swings can so easily cause FUD. I’ve been feeling the same thing these past few days but, as you said, it’s not an option to go back to that “old world” where the entire system is rigged against us ever getting ahead.

For me (at times), just operating in this new world is still so new and different from the world that I was taught is the way things are done, that it almost feels like I'm skipping class (I hope this makes sense). I never want to go back but I am in the middle of leaving it right now and it's hard work. I know you broke free, still happy about it? I hope so. All the best man.

@exyle this is so relevant in my LIFE right now, leaving the OLD Dying System. This put your money in a Bank Savings account, buy a house and take out a 30 year mortgage. Then a cubicle office HELL Job where you can't stand the people you are stuck around from 9-5 each day. No thank you I am going Forward into the NEW way to Live not being a SLAVE.......

These price swings should'nt affect much, no doubt new world is just getting build, there will lot of challenges ahead but the technological revolution is so strong in the new world , that it will have huge impact on the old world once it matures... Good Luck with the new world!!!

Nice, break those chains of corporate slavery. I was recently on the phone with my bank, asking them a bunch of questions about why they don't pay any interest on account, why there is a monthly fee to hold my money and why almost every banking action has an associated fee, obviously I got no suitable answers. Just like the dinosaurs, the block chain is that 2 ton comet heading straight to the heart of the banking industry.

Last week's dips really shocked the crypto community, the newer and weaker members might have given up on their investment but if there's anything I've learnt from being a part of this community, it's that you must always hold on through the dips, preferably buy more. I think the crypto world is more freer than a traditional 9 to 5, and this is just the beginning. Am sure in the coming years the crypto market will go into trillions and u will be laughing all the way to the bank. So do what makes u happy and don't let anyone make u feel guilty for that. I want to make the transition ASAP. I have been into crypto for over a year and now am considering transferring almost all of my fiat into cryptos. I know it's crazy but I do feel a bit of a push to do that. I remember watching videos and documentaries about people that pay for everything in bitcoin or something. Now I am thinking about doing the same. Yikes...

It is not a crime to do a new thing. It is always good to evaluate and put yourself to check. If there's need to re-invent yourself why the wait?

Thank-you for not only believing in the new world but taking steps to really invest in it. This transition will take time, feel awkward at times. I love that you are putting your health first. A good aide in this regard, and to help with the transition could be to practice yoga. Yoga at it's roots helps us to know ourselves better and to feel more comfortable in our own skin. As well as managing the stress, and focusing mind on breath for the whole class(comes with practice). I LOVE that you are choosing fun rather than work mindset!! One step at a time!! You've got this. Well done, it is important to think objectively rather than getting too emotional with markets, this industry is growing so fast lately that these big corrections become almost certain, the collapse of bitconnect is also a big player in this crash. Steem is a blockchain that could revolutionize ALL of internet media management, I see most people just focus on the Steemit platform when talking about Steem in the crypto space, not everyone truly understands how much more potential there is.

Hey there @exyle! I think it's great that you are trying to refocus...and really bring it back to what matters. In my short time here, I've felt that "oh crap!" from the fluctuations...but it's important to just keep going.

I also love not being a slave to "the man". We're debt free, and the Lord led us away from the 9-5 job. Life is too short to be a slave to money and loans. Keep it up! 😁

I think you're absolutely right, @exyle. I need to delete the portfolio apps off of my phone. It's too distracting. Steem is a long term buy and hold, and so like you, my focus needs to stay on adding value to the Steem blockchain.

You're right. Many people think you've lost it because you're taking your freedom from the old, slavish work-lifestyle. I put it down to ignorance and fear of the unknown. I like your blunt response when you were asked: 'Why don't you stay here with us? Work 9-5 or more and put your money in the bank (with no interest) and buy a house so that you are a slave to the system for the rest of your life.'

And I support your decision to go fully into the new. He who does not change with the changing times will be blown away by the wind of change.

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are a true revolution.

Daily price swings should therefore not matter much.

But I can feel that it has lately.

So I'm putting my focus again where I think it's the most valuable.

Creating content for the Steem blockchain, working on awesome tools and apps with my witness @blockbrothers, taking care of my crypto investments and also my own health.

This post touched the deeper part of me and I've leant one or two things from it too.

I quite agree with you on this and I'll make this my focus.

Over half a trillion lost. Poof. Gone. But the good thing about this is some previously expensive cryptos are now affordable again. So with this loss also comes opportunity. I do think we must find a way to seperate things kike steem from bitcoin as our pronect is much better and has evolved way past that initial stage of what btc represents. But it will be difficult.

I love your analysis on the old world, new world jobs. At the moment i still do my job as an electrical engineer and find time to participate in my block chain adventures, well not as if i know too much about block chain. Still new in the system and still doing my research but i think it would be cool to keep your old job while your still explore blockchain, not because your being emotionally blackmailed by your former clients but common, everyone needs some extra constant cash.
