I'm going to visit my dad up north for the weekend. It will probably be grilling and chilling like usual but in a different location.
My feet are doing a little better today although they are still very sore. I still have to use the bandages. I will use shoes grilling this time!
I'm looking forward to my dad's company and I hope my clients won't all of the sudden need me for an emergency. But in that case, I am only 2 hours away. One of the great perks of living in a small country.
Thoughts on HF 19 announcement
In general, I feel very positive about the HF19.
The experiment showed me that giving minnows more voting power has a very positive effect on the Steem blockchain in general.
It's extremely fun to give away Steem and the sooner you can do this, the better!
The first time I could give away 1 cent with a vote was amazing. I'll never forget it. And it's been extremely fun to see this grow to the $1,20 per vote where it is today.
So I'm pretty convinced that this HF19 will raise the value of the Steem blockchain because of this cool feeling. It will attract more users to the platform.
And more users raises the value of the Steem blockchain as a whole.

Totally agree with you.. when more and more people see that there is opportunity to make money here, then they would definitely get addicted to this platform and spend more time, which ultimately raise the value of steem.

@exyle, this question might look cheeky but i need a clarification.
The last hardfork , i noticed rewards so tiny and i was wondering if Hardfork literally means reducing SteemPowers and SBDs. So can you please tell me what Hardfork does?....P.S- I know it's a software update!

With the last HF we went from a small to a much bigger reward pool. But it took a while to fill this pool up. Basically an unforeseen consequence....oops :) That's why the payouts were low for a while. Not enough Steem in the pond. It didn't bother me I just kept writing.
A hard fork 'forks' the Steem blockchain into the original chain (hf18) and hf19. If consensus is reached everyone follows HF19 and this will become the new chain. HF19 has new rules. (linear reward curve) A next hard fork will 'fork' HF19 in to the original chain (hf19) and HF 20. And it goes on and on like that.
Sometimes ppl don't like the new chain and they stay on the old one. this is how Ethereum Classic was born.

40x100% votes will turn into 10x100% votes (with 4x times more weight) per day. So after the new HF 40x25% votes will be the same as it is now. I guess bots will be adjusted accordingly. But for you I hope you get 200x100% (4x) votes!

Fantastic new vlog as always, @exyle. And a great viewpoint from you on how this new hardfork might affect us all. Because it is such a drastic change in the voting system, I guess we'll just have to see how the community work with it. But the very real possibility of "tactical" voting and the age-old ugly issue of "circle-jerking" could be a problem. I hope not, but as you say, there is a chance.
