Last night I again got up at 4 am for a while to change some Steem dollars to STEEM.

I had $500 SBD in withdrawal from my savings in the Steem wallet and they were about to be released. (takes 3 days).

The reason to put your STEEM or SBD's into savings is that it's a great security feature (just like steempower).

In case your account gets compromised it gives you time to regain control without anyone stealing your funds straight away.

Steemify Public Beta

The Public Beta of Steemify is going really well. We are getting great feedback from the testers and more are joining every day.

I made a small video yesterday to demonstrate the app.

This really great mark, I have been asking this same question, because I have been seeing some wallet were some sbd or steem is under savings and I ask some of my friends on steemit about it, but no good answer, but you just explained it all

Few day back when the price of sbd move up to $2, I quickly power up, but today it has move up again, but am unlucky because am not having much sbd to power up, and looking up to the next hit

"Stop refreshing, start interacting" i love that on the site. But a quick question, asise recieving notification, can you interact and reply from there because i didnt see it on the home page, i will be glad if there is a medium for that. which would be useful. Thanks.

There’s a basic built-in browser you can use to go directly to the post or comment. If you log in there, you will be able to vote/comment/etc. from within the app (actually I’m doing that right now). This data is stored encrypted on your phone just like Safari does. Key point is that this is optional and if you don’t want to, you do not need to enter any private keys whatsoever.

Yes, SBD is at premium again but don't understand the reason behind it, as it is backed by USD.. It should always remain around $1 .

This is really Kool. Thanks for the update. In the post you made on steemify two days ago I spoke with @bennierex, and he made me understand that the ios version is the only one out now because the developers of steemify want to see the market reaction to the app first, before releasing it on other platforms like Android, windows. This is just a heads up for those Android users who would like to know about the Android version of the app.

Awesome. I've been following your post on updates on steemify app. I use an android device, and it has come to my knowledge that it's only the ios version that is being worked on now.Those of us using Android devices should not just fold our bands and wait, for the Android version will only come out if the ios version is successful. We have to tell all our friends that use ios about this wonderful app, spreading the word so that more people can use this app, and hence also lead to the production of the Android version.

Thabks for the great post and video.
I am encouraged to adopt Savings accounts as it add's an extra layer of security and ideally curbs liquidity from speculative trading. These three days like you said should be plenty of time to recover your account or change your passwords, locking the hacker out of your account.

Thats "Great news" you sharing exyle. SBD and steem pumping again before late hours. You gave great potions steem or steem dollars put in to savings and its more secure as you told. But SBD convert to the steem from me. Is it better option?
Steemify Public Beta is awesome and give feed back if we want. Its easy interface. Tks for demo. Steemit providing more options and features daily. Its great development work.

Excellent news here. I am glad there is great progress. The good thing i like is that about using steemify is that i don't need to give up any of my active posting keys. Just my username will do.

Thanks for the updates @exyle. I have a friend that uses an iPhone 5, so I wanted to know if he can use this app on that device, since it is pretty old. She has to try the app there since she normally uses an android phone, but steemify is only in ios.

I have never for once doubted the feedback. Knew it would be positive. Your team is really doing well. I chevked out the website for the first time and its so cool. I missed the launching post, but i am still feeling like i have missed a lot. These things take great level of hardwork and i am glad we are getting better. Steemit is easier. You have contributed to making life easier and i really wish your future projects are successful as the Public Beta

Great. The app functions really well. But my question is this, would I be able to make post ls and make comments through this app, or is it more like a whatsapp notification app that gives me notifications of what's happening on whatsapp, or in this case steemit?

I have found it a bit confusing with steem dollars. I always thought it as the currency without much of increase or decrease in value. But guess I know now it's just like any other currency? No?

My idea that I read somewhere in the beginning of my steemit "carrier" always applied:

Steem = maximum freedom
Steem dollars = maximum stability
Steem Power = maximum power

Guess you always learn something new:)

it seems we need to sleep at day time, because last few days at 3-4 am there is pump of sbd :D Why you use saving in your wallet if you still withdraw via bittrex/poloniex or blocktrades, just interested why to freeze for 3 days

It's a security feature. (see post). I don't want to have too much liquid crypto in my Steem wallet. But selling SBD for $1,80 is worth getting them out :)
