I have learned from my recent family and health class how children , the little ones, are impacted by the parents behavior and what not and how the parents should give a lot of love and support when they are young for emotional support because kids don’t know what’s going on and often blame themselves

I Wont call cryptos a bubble but i see a big correction in the near future. As you mention there are many cryptos with out merit. Each and every day i see tens more ICOs which is not at all sustainable. But i have 100% faith in the blockchain technology. Few of the crypots are really good with some meaningful project under them and have a bright future but rest is just get rich scheme.

Well said friend! Yeah some of crypto projects are just bubbles, we can't say it's not. But STEEM is not a bubble, atleast we got a good project among thousands of Bubbles!

I agree with your brother and father that cryptocurrencies do appear to be a bubble but there is a difference. The price of these currencies will fluctuate - often wildly but it is because we are observing a change in technologies. When CD-Roms first entered the market they were around $5000. Families (in China) would buy many not because of speculation but what they represented. The CD-Roms meant an income flow and they started burning CD's for the pirate market. "Bitcoin" are the same thing, they are a new technology which are destined to change not only the way money works, but also the way that societies work.
Yes some of the major increase was due to Bitcoin Fever but also part of the increase is the recognition that it is an alternative. Ask your father if he believes the stock market will tank this year (it is within the last 3 years of the decade). Then ask him is the bond market is a good place to shift the money now. Finally ask if the commodity market is a good investment (it is in a longer range investment horizon). I think that more and more investors are dipping their toes in the cryptocurrency market as a desperation play in order to put their money into something that may have a potential. This is only a guess but I believe that Bitcoin will bounce one more time against the $12000ish support level and then resume its upward trajectory.
STEEM as an investment is totally different to Bitcoin. It is more than just a crypto ... it is "brainware". It is a community of over 500,000 exchanging ideas, goals and motivations. When the SMT technology drops, it will revolutionize a growing number of ways of communication.

We as humans always tend to look at what happened in the past and what will happen next. This works sometimes very well. But in this case - crypto is something very, very different, than stocks.

So - while I understand why your father would be sceptic about crypto - he could have made a lot of money over the year(s) since you are active on STEEM(IT).

And with this logic - if he was wrong back then, maybe he is wrong now?

Anyway - always great to read your blogs. They're very authentic.

Exactly. Talking about converting Crypto to real money, I converted a small share of 4 SBDs Yesterday and gave my younger sister a surprise on her Birthday. Decorated my room for her Birthday. It is almost the end of the month and my Salary is almost gone. Had those 4 SBD in my wallet, I guess that was the best use I could get from them. I can so relate to what you said.

But more and more often I no longer feel the need to convince others about the space.

It just makes me tired.

lol same here, the fact is I am ready to teach you how to fish, be it small or big but when you start drifting away and you rather prefer the already cooked food it just makes me tired and I end up leaving you in the ocean.

Steemit really an amazing platform and a life changer but still others refuse to get involve bringing up excuses about unable to blog, when you literally do it everyday on whatsapp, facebook, telegram etc..

Why not join a platform that actually pays you and see genuine people who actually value your post

Mums are almost always more supportive then dads :) They have this unconditional love inside them. No matter what the son is doing, they are there :) Lucky you that you have such a cool mum!

Today, my sister taught my mum also about crypto and investing. I didn't mention to her that I am on steemit or that I invested in other currencies. I was thinking she will not be capable of understanding. But now she is analyzing the charts and wants to invest! :)))) haha.

I think you could really write for a paper or magazine or something. Your stuff is so fluent and you kind of paint a story with your words. My mother was good at writing and could’ve been and author or writer, but instead became a teacher. I see the same kind of things in your writing as her writing. Keep up the good work man! :)

I look forward to the day when you and I can have a talk from America to Europe, as I suspect your deep interest and passion in all this, will result in some very good work conversationally.

I want to publish and open source my intellectual collection here, but before I do so, I really need to establish meaningful connections with members who have networks themselves, of individuals who care about them, what they have to say, and what they appreciate.

That's a great story. I'm glad your mom is on board the Steem train. There will definitely be a pop to a lot of coins, but just like the dotcom boom in the US, some of the best stocks became some of the dominant companies today.

As for the guys in your family stuck on the "bubble"- > point them to my recent post about the invalidity of the Tulip Mania label- it is exactly what I think they should read. It helped convince my military father to open his mind about the topic. My dad was born in 1935 and he previously thought "bitcoin is a ponzi". *side note - my dad was older than the average dad- so his 1935 birthday should not automatically make you think I am any specific age. Why am I talking about this? Who knows. I guess it is my ego.

My son also brought me here, just like you got your mum on board.
I haven't regreted it 1 single day yet, and don't think I will get bored of it anytime soon.
Just like your mum I stay up sometimes, reading articles and such.
If it wasn't for my son @edolascrypto (he didn't give up easily), I would most likely be one of those people randomly blabbing out "It's a bubble!" , purely out of ignorance and lack of knowledge. Super happy I gave myself the time to learn, grow, invest a little, and be part of this amazing platform! Must be something in the Dutch water for us to create such great sons!
