Now That's What I'm Talking About!

OK, it's a glitch, I know this, but damn do these figures look tasty! But a guy can dream, right? A possible precursor to the future price of Steem? Lol, I damn well hope so, coz I'mma be saving up for a few islands off the Mediterranean coast somewhere. You know what I'm saying? Sun, sea, wome... I mean, food! It's all just digital numbers, anyway. There's gotta be some way to cash this out... :)

But on a more serious note, it's good we had something to laugh about this morning (or whichever part of the world you hail from). I remember a similar glitch in my Exodus wallet last year. Kicking myself now because I should have taken a screen cap, but hey, I got witnesses. Back then, I was the proud hodler of a decent amount of Dogecoin. Nothing great, if memory serves me right. Let's say around the $2000 mark.

So, I open my wallet and all the other coins appear the same except for the "value" of my Dogecoin. Apparently, it had skied it to $1.3 million! Now, I kinda assumed some bug was superimposing this figure onto my Dogecoin valuation, however the feeling "was" good, I can't lie. A quick check of the prices later and the truth was soon revealed. But not before I had a little fun with it.

I ran upstairs and acted all shocked and surprised, like. Screaming at @rea to come down and "Check something incredible out!". Even though I was proving more of an annoyance to her than anything else, I had to keep up the charade. I bolted back down the stairs and she lazily followed. Pointing like a madman at the monitor, I yelled "Look at our account!". She rolled her eyes towards the screen and I've never seen somebody's jaws hit the ground quite like that before. Had she been holding something, it would be on the floor and smashed to pieces. She slowly sat at my desk and whispered, "What?" Oh man, I was in stitches hiding behind her!

Within those few precious seconds, all our financial worries were taken care of. I could imagine what she saw. Mansions, cars, fine dining, travelling the world. Life "clocked" in a matter of moments. Though I couldn't hold it in any longer. I coughed out a stifled giggle which ended up in full-on bellied laughter. And with that, she cottoned on almost immediately as to what was really going on. I mean, damn! I was in the doghouse for a few hours afterwards, but it was "so" worth it, just for the memory alone.

So, as the expression goes, once bitten, twice shy. She actually texted me a picture of my account today and attempted to make the same call as I did before. Well, not on this dull and gloomy morn. I knew right away it was a bug. I mean, what else "could" you possibly think, right?
