My wife had insisted on putting these things up on stands on top of the bouncy old step to get into the garden shed. It was just a matter of time until one of those things took a header off of there. Well she was pissed at me for not wanting to move the bloody things each and every time i got out any yard tools.

Anyways, that was the problem... here's the solution

Then I dug out some dumpster salvaged lumber and got to work. Some of the lumber was pretty rough shape.

I first made a new step. 2x8" lumber cut 22" long to give me a 22" x 14" step.

Then i cut some 2x6" lumber into 9" pieces as well as some 2x4". And some 2x6" pieces at 22" long.

I built 2 matching like this

Set them out and stained them a nice brown. Looks pretty good so far, maybe I'll put some rocks or bricks around them?

Well, now she can set her flowers up on those and they should be nice and stable.
