Fear is a means of control, fear is often the unknown, fear what causes us to reliquesh ourselves from our own rights in order for us to feel protected.
The fear of God punishment.. Causes us to steer right onto the straight and narrow, and if we are on that path the we are loved?
Fear of failure , causes us not to begin...
