When a few bad things happen simultaneously, and it's a religious day, my mom decides to cook a large pot of food and donate it.
We call it Nazri (charity food).
My father has undergone cataract operation. It's a big deal for my mom. So she decided to cook her favorite: Ashe Reshte
It's like a soup: has vegetables and grains and noodles.
We eat it as both appetizer or main meal.
We distribute it among our neighbors and relatives. But most of the times (especially if we cook another food with meat in it) we distribute it among poor people who live in the rural area (mostly immigrants).
Tasting and distributing are fields of my expertise, an the only parts I help.
