In an age of relativism and extreme child rights activism, how do we draw the line between parental discipline and domestic violence? #justasking

Here is a quote I found recently that I think has an answer

Domestic violence refers to the violence that happens in one's house and necessarily doesn't have to be experienced directly.

Eg, a parent's fight is domestic violence on the child still, although no one hits him during the fight

Once an act on a kid is revengeful in nature, then it is domestic violence, and assault

But if the act is to instil moral discipline, then it ain't domestic violence
