Universe always has a moment to reminds you about something. Like, when you're going trough an old gallery and found a bunch of pics with sad quotes on it. Suddenly you trace the time has passed, comes to your mind, there was something made you addicted to collect that kind of pic; You kept in the gallery, or uploaded to socmed as a release. Something that makes your phone just play a sad song.
And when it happened to me, i feel silly
Why repeat the sadness, while there are so many things to be grateful for?
It's okay to be sad sometimes. What isn't ok is to keep it in mind. It just makes us lose spirit, lose the chance of creating cheerful days.
The key is,
Get out.
Get out of that sadness.
Because often, what we do instead makes the sadness increase.
We can take it out by writing, drawing, making handycraft, cooking, hunting photos, swimming or going to the exhibition. It was definitely more fun and rewarding.
Or, make it as energy to work. To work hard, to achieve your goals. Do not let grief destroy you :smile:
Brain choose what you feel. You choose what song you wanna hear, a feeling you want to feel through a song. You're the one who decide; do something or settled in sadness.
Semesta memiliki momen untuk mengingatkan lo pada sesuatu. Seperti ketika lo melihat-lihat foto lama di ponsel dan menemukan banyak gambar berkutipan galau di sana. Kemudian lo menyusuri waktu yang telah lewat, teringat sesuatu membuat lo (pernah) keranjingan mencari gambar-gambar semacam itu. Untuk disimpan, dijadikan avatar atau diunggah ke socmed sebagai curcol. Sesuatu yang membuat ponsel lo hanya memutar lagu-lagu sendu.
… Dan ketika itu terjadi pada gue, rasanya konyol.
Buat apa sih, mengulang kesedihan, sementara di sekeliling kita ternyata begitu banyak hal bisa disyukuri?
Wajar kok, kalau kita sedih karena kenyataan berbeda dari yang diharapkan. Yang enggak wajar adalah mengingatnya terus-terusan. Itu cuma membuat kita kehilangan semangat, kehilangan kesempatan menciptakan hari-hari penuh tawa.
Kuncinya adalah
Keluar.
Keluar dari kesedihan itu.
Karena seringkali, yang kita lakukan malah membuat kegalauan bertambah
Kita bisa melampiaskannya dengan menulis, menggambar, membuat prakarya, memasak, hunting foto, berenang atau pergi ke pameran. Itu jelas lebih menyenangkan dan bermanfaat.
Atau, jadikan saja sedih itu sebagai energi untuk berkarya. Untuk bekerja keras, untuk meraih cita-cita. Jangan biarkan kesedihan menggerogoti lo :smile:
Brain choose what you feel. Lo yang memilih lagu apa yang ingin lo dengar, perasaan apa yang ingin lo nikmati lewat lagu. Lo yang memilih; melakukan hal lain untuk mengalihkan pikiran, atau diam sambil terus mengingat kesedihan.
it is a really interesting post, and there is way much more under the surface than you can read on it, every state of mind is beneficial if you don't let the emotions swallow you, for example the depresion is an emotional state that usually is marked as a bad thing and something you have to avoid, in most of the cases it would be a correct statement, because people tend to isolate and focus on the emotions, making a circle of negativity that usually are not able to leave without help.
The thing is, that even depresion can be an useful state of mind during short lapses of time, there is not a better state of mind to train and develop a connection with the one, because its usually a state of mind with much less noise than anger, joy, excitement etc, and nobody can be joyful, excited, or sad all the time, you probably know what i mean, the trick is(like with everything else) to control your emotions instead of letting them control you, blessing to you :)
