I've been working non-stop to gather money for my passport to Dominican Republic. I don't have a job, so most of my day is spent collecting money.
I created a spreadsheet to help with my visualization, if I can see the proof of process then it is real to me. Every cent I collect, I add to my spreadsheet. I designed it to count down the amount I will need for a passport. I figure, I'll get that out of the way first.
Because I live in New York City, people often litter. I saw this as an opportunity to capitalize on this (I think, I used that word right) opportunity that presented itself. I collect bottles and can when i am not working on my computer and I am out of the house.
It's amazing how much change you'll find in new york city in just one day without looking. I run into this on my bottle run, I do the bottle run at least twice a day.
I also by a lot of can soda or bottle soda throughout the month. if I don't get anything from outside, It will not effect my money flow for the day.
I was thinking about selling candy, I still might. The only thing that is keeping me from doing that is that selling candy takes too long and I may end up having the money before I can sell all of my candy. I guess it is good to have extra money, every penny counts right.
Very enterprising! I remembered the days when I was out of job, those were the hardest days but also the best times of my life coz I was so fixed on looking for money. Looking forward to read about your progress
