THE MAGIC FOREST
An experience of trip to an unforgettable site, the immensity of the forest and the calm that it offers never seem to satisfy the capacity of astonishment. A municipal forest, located about fifty kilometers north of the eastern point, on the way to the capital. A forest of amazing dimensions for the smallness of our country, with a variety of native flora that leaves amazed even the most expert in the subject.
Without further ado, the story of that day begins like this.
PREPARING FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY
It all started just after daybreak, the clock ticked about eight o'clock, when we proceeded to make the corresponding checklist to cover any unforeseen events. Tools, lots of water, fruit, some nuts and hazelnuts were going to be our delight and source of energy, we checked the bikes, we made sure to have a couple of extra tires in case of a flat out, and with a little fear we agreed to also bring a first aid kit , it was the last thing we wanted to think about, but something that if needed, could become crucial.
We arrive to the location and proceeded to prepare the collection of tools and food that would accompany us, and proceeded to begin the pedaling. On a quiet and beginner level path, with some ups and downs and asome water from the intense rain that visited us the day before, something very common for the season.
The amount of colors and plants in the environment were amazing already in the first kilometers of route, in spite of the amount of moments in which we saw us pedaling almost vertical, the first hours were very enjoyable.
THE FEELING OF TRUE FREEDOM
From the incredible visual attraction of the place, to the silence that only the birds seem to be able to break, we found ourselves having a short but nutritious lunch, very close to paradise at that time.
In a small clearing surrounded by pine trees, and with a mattress of leaves that seems to invite us to take a nap for the rest of the day.
Already halfway, with much of the most cumbersome task completed, we decided to take a trip and reach the top, which does not stand out because of its height, but the ways of descent make the sacrifice worthwhile.
ADRENALINE AND SOMETHING ELSE
The top had been conquered, the happiness on our faces painted, and the words of encouragement did not wait.
One last stop to recover oxygen, prepare for an intense descent, between gravel, sand, rocks, water, and many many trees.
With a beginning that resembled a warm up about what would come, the first meters began to be behind, the light lost more and more intensity, and the trees made of that place a species of isolated capsule of what we think we know.
Halfway down the slopes began, on a soft ground, and with a considerable speed, we began to see what was a world of stones of all sizes.
The adrenaline kept climbing, the bike bumping down between rocks, the vibration in the arms and that sensation in the belly of feeling free and pure are touching their peak.
THE PERFECT CLOSURE
After a constant descent and a path full of startles, the calm of the late afternoon began to show, we set off for the car, we had about 25 minutes of pedaling yet.
And when we believed that the day could not improve and that we had managed to squeeze every last drop of it, we decided to look back.
A sunset that barely showed itself among a forest that seemed to begin to emanate cold from within, with just a few silhouettes that were distinguishable, and a few noises of crisp branches, we stopped five minutes to appreciate and to take a photograph of this last gift.
Go out to meet new places, take the day with friends and make it count twice, share a moment with yourself, get close to nature and be part of it. All those things, however small and basics, seem to be those that end up filling that trunk with unforgettable feelings and memories that will someday fill the heart with joy, and will bring with it a desire to want to repeat that you are not going to imagine.

That looks like a heck of a ride up just to take the chance of wrecking yourselves on the way down. But I can tell you were up to the challenge and you're right about getting out with friends...or just enjoy nature in solitude.
I enjoyed the ride...great photos and that Sunset was worth getting up at sunrise to catch. And the vision you captured was to be found nowhere else on this Earth. Nice catch!
