Contrast MRI Images Of My Cervical Spinal Damage

in life •  7 years ago

When I injured my head I also damaged my cervical spine. I received multiple issues from compression fractures to a bulging disc and severe arthritis. I have a lump on the side of the cervical spine near C4-C5 area which places pressure on the nerves and influences severe headaches and migraines and even partial paralysis in the form of numbness in my arms and hands. Due to the initial injury I have developed a small benign tumor as well. Basically my neck is shot to hell.

I had a contrast MRI taken of my neck and these images are the result of such. If you know what to look for you can see the mess my head and neck trauma have caused. NOTE not all of the images are present here due to there being dozens of them. Here are a few for you to see...

Thanks for the pictures of your 'brain damage'. Hopefully you can be repaired with some million dollar parts. My son already had a microdiscectomy due to sportbike accident a year before. He is damaged goods now and has to watch how much he lifts to not put much compression on his spine. You are in good hands with the VA.

ya i have to watch everything i do but that doesn't mean i cant still do things :) the va is slow but they get things done and usually right.

Cost of care is way better with VA than private. You have dozens of mri pics if private would have only been a few. VA has deep medical pockets than private was all I meant. VA will do expensive procedures where private won't unless you have the money.

i don't disagree. i wasn't discounting you in anyway.

I never felt discounted at all just glad you are getting such great care from the VA. Some vets have a hard time getting even mediocre care and long delays in treatment. I have never applied for anything VA except for getting eligibility card. My last doctor visit was 20 years ago. I have had issues but never went to doc. I had tremors for years but went away a year ago. I just ignore everything but that is my choice. Good luck with your disc and spine issues.
