Creatures Of The Deep

Point Defiance Aquarium has stunning views of sea life, big and small.  At the aquarium you will see everything from walruses to sharks. Enjoy watching these massive creatures as they are swimming and enjoying their day. At special times you can even watch as they are being fed by their keepers. Nothing beats a visit to the aquarium. 

The Sharks Ruled The Day

This was a massive tank that we were able to walk around and watch from several directions.  The tank was large enough that you got your walking done just trying to see the different sides, each seemed to have their own group of animals, though you would latter see them all together.

The Reef fish were smaller and had many different species of fish, not including all the beautiful live coral. This was a colorful tank, with both the coral and the many tropical fish that called it home. 

If you are looking for something to do with the family, Point Defiance Aquarium is the place to be. They are just finishing a beautiful three story tank that will open soon. Visitors to this new Aquarium will walk through a tunnel with fish on every side.  When you finish at the Aquarium, be sure to have a picnic lunch at the new pavilion that has over 20 tables under the shade.  So come on and join in the fun of a day at the Point Defiance Aquarium.
