Hello steem, my wonderfully cute Border Collie, Callie, demonstrated signs of distress last night. After trying to comfort her we noticed a large lump on her belly that was causing her significant discomfort. We took her to the vet in the late hours of the night to find out after X-Rays and Ultrasound that she had an 8 pound benign tumor surrounding her stomach.
She has touched many lives of people she's encountered through her travels from coast to coast. From college friends to family members who used to hate dogs, she always has brought joy to the people around her. We're hoping for a successful surgery for our main lady of the house so she can continue her adventures for years to come.
The pictures here are from her travels between Oregon and Milwaukee, or of her with us. She's a real goof and I Love her!
I know what you must have gone through not knowing how Callie would do. Been through the same. Our dogs are our family and what impacts them, impacts us ten fold. I'm so glad that Callie's situation was not as serious as it looked. I hope you have many, many more years together! My dog Lady is 14 years old but we love her so much as you love Callie.
