What to do with Poor People?

How to organize poor people other than giving them welfare and other "free" stuff at our expense? This is a very good question, and it's worth debating it.

Obviously giving people endless free stuff and welfare is not good for society, it creates irresponsible people, and it breeds carelessness and lazyness.

A society safety net is always a bad idea, because the world is dangerous, and it gives you a false sense of security, at other's expense.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have poor people, and I do want to help them, but the current welfare system neither helps them, nor it helps society as a whole. Welfare has created more poor and irresponsible people, not to mention criminals, than anything else in history.

So how to help the poor? Here are a few ideas:

  • Lower medical costs, because most people can't work due to some health condition
  • Lower pollution, as it is one of the most dominant health problems
  • Lower cancer rates, probably has something to do with all these GMO foods, pesticides, and chemicals
  • Then they are able to work, so we need to give them jobs. For jobs you need to eliminate many regulations so that small businesses can start hiring people.
  • In short, reduce the government bureaucracy by 99.999%.
  • Then after unemployment is shrinking, you can cut down welfare slowly down to 0.

It is this simple. And I don't want people to not have food to eat or shelter above their heads, these people need to be taken care of.

However, after they got the basic necessities to get started, they should start finding a job. We don't want people hanging over us, after they got their basic boost, they should start getting their lives together.

In many cases homeless people after being accepted into a charity housing service, they moved out back to the streets because they felt more comfortable there. Ok, well if this is the case then why should I pay for their welfare if they refuse our help to become integrated into society. Oh but they do want that paycheck coming regardless... well sorry then, bets are off.

This is the problem, because if you really want to help a person and show him the way out of his problems, he will refuse it, and rather hang on your like a parasite, instead of getting his life together and becoming self-sustained.

And this is the problem, we can never get rid of the government until people have this slave-master mentality. People much rather be comfortable slaves, than uncomfortable free people. We need to change this!

There's a saying, "Give a person a fish and you'll feed him throughout the day, But teach him how to fish and you will be feeding him in its entire life".

There's a big difference in giving and helping. If you give something to the poor you're not helping them, but if you will teach them something like how they are going to live their life, then you are helping them.

Nothing is going to change unless we do, We have to stand up to the government as we're only a few pay checks away from being homeless. The government keep taking until there's nothing left. We all have to stand up to them

It's amazing how simple everything starts to become once you remove the idea of it being ok for certain people to threaten violence if you don't do as they say.

Yes, poor people are not entitled to welfare.

We might give it to them, to transition them out of poverty, but only with the condition that they will find a job. A reduce in government will more likely create many jobs, so there will be no excuse that there are no jobs.

We should stop giving money to people just because they "deserve it". Help them out of poverty fast, and then they should be self-sufficient. Then we eliminate welfare.

Sounds simple, but in reality people are too lazy ,and as I said:

People much rather be comfortable slaves, than uncomfortable free people.

"Someone should do something about this."

Well it ain't gonna be me. I do my part to spread this information, but I don't have the ring of power of the government to do this. Everyone should do his part.

a living-wage system for every citizen. sometimes its not so simple as getting a job...if they are struggling with personal issues it's hard to keep one.

Most wages are pretty fair. If you earn 2000$ gross income that is enough to surive , it's only when the government takes half away, when the issues start.

In most poor countries, the citizens earn less than 1$ /day, but that doesn't stop the government taking half of it away anyway.
