Hi Steemit.

Now i'm going to tell you about cybersport.

 Hero of the Russian film about a guru network players said: "The children grew up ... toys have changed." Maybe it was just a joke, but that is the truth disturbs the minds of generations of our parents, and we, the representatives of the 90's, does not leave indifferent to this topic.

Cybersport. What first comes to mind at the mention of the word? Agree thoughts on the subject is, but it is very relative, and we will absolutely frank, quite disparate. Just "network toys"? I do not think, especially when at stake is a prize of several million dollars, expulsion from university or family respect.

The story about an endless war in the virtual reality, acquired a truly real extent. "Pro-gamers," quite seriously claim to be the modern day heroes. Believe it or not, and the army of so-called "gosu" ( «gosu», experienced players) every day to protect the network from reality "enemy creatures." Let's see what and why eSports around him so much noise.

ESports - a game competition, where the computer generates a virtual space, it actually occur match. There are many disciplines of sport, in which each "kiberatlet" tries to succeed, to get not only the satisfaction of the game, but also respect for "clan" (team multiplayer game), as well as the love of the fans. The most famous are: Counter-Strike, StarCraft, Dota 2, League of Legends, and others.

ESports became really famous at the beginning of two thousandth, especially when talented gamers out of the gloom, teamed up and declaring himself to a new level. League One competitive players appeared in the US in 1997 (Cyberathlete Professional League), she collected the best Quake players (computer game, one of the pioneers of e-sports). Further - more, the game rates grew, the winners now receive not only a common symbolic fee, and tens, and even hundreds of thousands of dollars!

If the concept of "cyber" all clear why it has become inseparable from the concept of the sport? Sports - it's always a competition, not necessarily with an opponent, but always with yourself - you're trying to get better, learn from their mistakes, are moving forward. Losses, disappointments, failures, have become an integral not only athletes, but also kiberspotsmenov. They also train, compete, win, lose, but always learn to get up from his knees. A truly amazing that kiberatlet as an athlete, for example, has its own "best" age, that after 25 years, the human reaction is reduced, the fingers do not work technically, like when you're a teenager, and it makes a difference if price issue - worldwide recognition in the history of eSports. In the vastness of the virtual reality made even speak their "cyber-language", it creates a special atmosphere of unity of the players, communicating with the help of gamers like their narrow circle of strangers. Here are some examples of their vocabulary:

- "Play rollback" - the ability to gather and fight off the important position of the enemy;

- "Lamer" - a bad player, a beginner;

- "Polycom" - mouse pad;

- "Strafting" - move left or right; etc.

They also prefer to represent in my own way, instead of the usual Vanya and Petya - «uNkind» or «Fatal1ty», on the other side of the monitor - it is well-known guys.

Overcoming the complexity of the virtual world, on a par with the very real difficulties of a lack of sensation in the hands, migraine and "fog" in the eyes of guys become real masters of computer games.

Many believe that e-sports - it's a waste of time, and kiberatlet - a bunch of crazed teenagers computers that transforms a normal life, to gaming simulators. Well, everyone has their own opinion, but as often happens, that we condemn something that can not or do not want to understand. You can spend hours philosophizing about what guys replace the reality of a dream, presenting themselves as heroes of cult games, so to speak, a better version of ourselves. But looking at the broadcasting major championships cyber games (Dota 2 Asia Chamionships, The International), you begin to understand that this is not just a hobby, it's part of their lives, their self-realization. And who said that self-realization is possible only as a doctor, an engineer or a lifeguard? It is undeniable that sponsoring electronic giants like Samsung and Asus knock together a vast fortune on e-sports, attracting more and more new players. And what is most surprising, as in any sport, of the millions of legends become one.

It is difficult to say what will happen in the future eSports. According to the gamers themselves, everything depends on the promotion of games, sponsoring championships, technology development, and more. But it seems that the fate of kibersportmenov not in the hands of Valve or Blizzard-known software companies, and in the simple love of "toys" a young gamer.

@frozendota, Thank you for your cool Interesting post!

Nice post I can tell english isnt your first language so it must have been hard to make. Good job on all the effort you put forward! I think in the next 10 years we are definitely going to see cybersports become more and more mainstream. Even today in Asian countries they are massive, much bigger than in the US.
