Nigerians are overtly religious people Christians & Muslims but their belief doesn't affect ability to take/demand for bribe & cut corners. This strong religious inclination doesn't also affect ability to pull 'deals'/appropriate public funds. This is seen as blessings on the job; Churches & Mosques subtly support this giving, so much respect & credence to wealth irrespective of how it was acquired. As a result, even with proliferation of religious bodies, crime rate, corruption & lasciviousness has soared. Impunity reigns in the land. One wonders if religion is really a developmental tool. What is the correlation between religion & a country's development & growth?
