This is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen and I have to admit I didn't take it, my friend owns a much better camera than I do and also has a less shaky trembling hand than I do, so she took it and passed it on to me. This picture was taken on Utila a rather small 45 Square Km island about 30 kilometers off of the coast of Honduras. You can get there by ferry or by airplane, if you are good at swimming perhaps you can try it I have never heard of anyone doing it.
The island has about 4,000 inhabitants and has a bunch of hotels, hostels, restaurants, eateries and bakeries so food is no problem. It is slightly more expensive than the coast as most food stuff has to be brought over but compared to the other islands it is relatively cheap. It has small beaches, incredibly clear waters a huge coral reef, great diving and diving schools and also whale sharks. For my part I neither want or need to dive or see a whale shark so I will stay on land. And there is great news there too, there are only small garter snakes.
It really is a fun and beautiful place to visit, if you are planning on traveling to these parts of the world I do believe Utila off the coast of Honduras is a great place to go. Also the people are very friendly and helpful. I am also posting some more pictures of the place, perhaps you like them. As you will see there are also a few cays, twelve I think, some of which are inhabited, these cays are really just a whole beach, each and every one of them.
