What a comeback for Liverpool. I am a Liverpool fan, but this morning talking with friends most of whom are Barcelona fans I was convinced Liverpool would win the game but not by enough goals, my friends said I was crazy even believing that, Barcelona would win easily.
By the time the game started I was feeling a little bit more optimistic but in reality I didn't think that Liverpool would be able to keep a clean sheet, goals could be scored even without Firmino and Salah, but I had no doubt that Barcelona would score at least one goal, and that meant Liverpool would need 5, even I couldn't believe that.
Now I don't usually watch football games because eventually I get bored and I stop looking but today I didn't even get that far I, figured I would be so nervous I could even suffer a stroke so I didn't turn that TV on, I was counting the minutes and when it was 2:50 I opened Facebook (yes, I use Facebook) and a friend of mine had just written let's go Liverpool, so I went to The Guardian and just saw a picture that said Origi celebrates Liverpool's fourth goal, then I turned on my TV.
As luck would have it, it was still short of thirty seconds to finish fortunately Liverpool was attacking and never lost control of the ball until the referee finished the game. Then I celebrated quietly and started watching the replay of the goals and better plays of the game, calmly and with no nerves.
Liverpool, I think deserved to pass, in the first game I think they deserved a tie or the most a one goal difference, but today they were way better than Barcelona, Barcelona did miss two goals in the first half but I also think the referee didn't award Liverpool two clear penalty kicks,
So anyway now the team is in the final, will it be Tottenham or Ajax? Who knows, both teams play very good football and even though Ajax is the favorite I wouldn't put it past Tottenham to win tomorrow. What is clear to me is that whomever Liverpool plays against, that final game is going to be a great game which, this time, I am going to watch, I won't get nervous because getting to the final was the hard part anything Liverpool gets there will just be gravy.
