This is my grandparents house( mom's parents)
I have spent almost 12 years with them in this house , it's a very old house. My grandpa was an ex army officer, I was more attached to him than any one else, I miss him a lot, he expired on the same day of my marriage, as he was not keeping well we decided to bring him to the marriage stage we're every one coming to wish us could meet him as well, just before he expired he met almost all our family members thats a very good thing.
MY Grandma was a sports teacher , she taught me many indoor games with rules and all. She is having health problems nw we always pray for her health.

There are many incident , but one thing which I cannot forget is, when I was in 7 the standard, our school conducted a summer camp to kulu Manali. For which my parents dint allow me, i cried a lot. Lastly I took mom's purse in which my grandparents house address was there, then I wrote a letter to them asking for money which my mom later came to know, I got enough scoldings for that, but my grandparents sent me the money. I was so happy.
Dey took care of me very well , wateever I could do am doing my best to keep Dem Happy.
Wen ever I enter any of the rooms there is so many special memories related, gob bless all the grandparents who look after their children so much, nw it's our turn to look after them ND keep them Happy... Thanks @geetharao for this contest, God bless u mam, u recalled my childhood days😔😔

Hi @chetanshetty... Thank you so much for participating.... :)

IMG_20180422_074329_793.JPG
Thanks to my grandparents as a child my sister and i believed in magic. Their grandchildren are always and no matter what the most intelligent, beautiful and beloved grandchildren, even if there is not one or two, but several times there is always enough room for everyone in their hearts.
Our grandparents forgive us almost everything. They always support us with their fingers crossed and are full of pride when they tell others about our successes or show our pictures. They never forget our birthdates, however much grandchildren they had, and give us sense of security. But mostly when mom “goes to” an important meeting, or dad leaves for long business trip in some delegation my grandpa always come around.
My sisters and I can always talk seriously about important matters to our grandparents. They recall the names of our friends in kindergarten and do not interrupt us in the middle of the story about Ali hose to school. They are very wise and know exactly when the child wants to just cry. – they know a lot of children’s puzzles and a lot of stories,

My grandfather Manuel from small we went for a walk took me on vacation to the town of Unare that town is where my grandmother was born, in the holidays I did not walk on the river by the river and took us to fish at the mouth of the river as I miss that day that we had so much fun, when they gave us vacations in school all the cousins were happy because we knew that our holidays would be fun and you always looked after us and taught us how to fish and handle the boat until you taught us how to swim. How much we miss you grandfather, but I know where he is at this moment is taking care of us and giving us your blessing to all your grandchildren because you were always an exemplary father and grandfather inculcate us so much respect that we all want to be like your grandparent I love you will always be in my heart

My grandparents
My grandparents are farmers who dedicate their live to livestock and crop production. As agriculture Is interesting, it was so great following my grandparents to farm. Both being farmers, they are still educated and modern. My grandmother age is 65 years old, and grandfather age is 70 years old. But still, they have a young heart and do not seem to look so old like other people of the same age.
Always I notice that my grandparents are so conscious of his health and good physical being. My grandparents make all efforts for not seem to so old. Every day they do yoga and meditation for their good health. They are doing this exercises for moving at this old age. I admire with my grandparents because they are so healthy and active throughout the day.
They also teach me to yoga so that I can have a healthy skin and body. At this age also so strong desires towards leading an enjoyable house. They are full of and kindness bonding and family bonding. They are very modern yet firmly believe in family values. I have a big joint family. We are total 12 members in my house. We all love and respect each other a lot. My grandparents play a significant role in the great love and intimacy in the entire family. It was a great pleasure to live with both of them. FB_IMG_15243574422201998.jpg

My grandfather Manuel so many memories that come to mind with only his name, my grandfather whenever he went for a walk wherever he always took me, I remember that on holiday we always went with the whole family to the town where I met my grandmother .

It was a normal town, most of the people who lived in this was part of my family from both him and my grandmother.

He always looked for me when I left class, when I visited him I would see him in the patio of his house resting in the hammock or just reading the newspaper in it, most of the time I would sleep with him rocking him while he went to sleep.

When I ate I could see him laughing at the mess he was eating, at parties he always looked so happy sitting at the table to play with my uncle and sometimes with me, my brother and a cousin.

It has already been 3 years since his departure that if he were with us he would be happy about how much we have grown both physically and mentally and although he is no longer me I know he will always protect us and love this where he is because he is my grandfather and my most loved being in the whole world.

This is the picture from the last time I went to my grandparents house. All of my grandparents both from maternal and paternal side are late. I don't really love to visit them when they were alive both still I could feel the love they had for my siblings and I. My grandma was really caring, nice and a model to look up to. whenever I visit her she feed me like a baby, look at even thing and monitor my move. Just like my grandpa, I which to be a great farmer. He was a mentor to look up too. Old and active are just simple word I can use to describe him and he was a man of his word. I really miss them now. when I do something bad as a little child whenever they are around I will run down to them for help to avoid beating. Wow!! What a flash back !!!

Thank you @wireless07, am so glad to read your entry post.. :)

IMG-20171227-WA0006.jpgWhat were some of the memorable moments with my grandparents?

I spent more time of my childhood with my grandparents rather than my parents. They are the most wonderful and amazing people in the world.

My grandfather would daily send me and receive from school. After that he would help me with my homework. He would just stay with me all the time and help me finish my homework.
And at the night my grandmother used to tell me stories until I fell asleep.

And these are the two amazing people I was talking about.
Really as am writing , my mind keep flooding with memories , they are dead but still yet i miss them , this is really emotional for me , am even crying....

Hi @fundraiser... Thank you so much for sharing your memories here... :)

images (49).jpeg
I only know of my grandpa.... All other were dead already before I was born. At the point when grandpa would go to our home to visit, We kids savored each and every moment. He'd disclose to us stories from when father was close to nothing,
What's more, now and again he'd play us a tune on his fiddle. We could simply ask grandpa when we required counsel,
Also, he never needed to reveal to us anything twice. He was a man you could simply trust,
What's more, he never needed to talk boisterous to be heard. Presently the room will never again reverberate with his giggling,

However, to the individuals who know and cherish him, like despite everything we do,
His memory will warm our hearts 'til we go to paradise as well.

Thank you @deewhy07... I am so glad to see your entry here, though I dint know you for all these days...

Thank you @geetharao for making me revisit my childhood through this contest.
After exams every year we used to go to our grandparents house for one month. Basically we would wait for eleven months for that one month. Meeting all the cousins, getting pampered by grandparents, why one wouldn’t enjoy!

My maternal grandparents used to live in Kanpur, a big city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in north India.

There are lots of things associated with my grandma’s house. But I can’t forget the competition we all cousins used to have. That was of eating mangoes. Who can eat maximum number of mangoes? The winner was decided by counting seeds. Whether you have finished it or not that didn’t matter. 😂😂

Another attraction was to go to a temple in the evening ( there is a huge beautiful temple of Krishna-Radha ). We would not sleep in the afternoon because we all cousins wanted to play but our grandma would bribe that if we sleep in the afternoon, we will be taken to that temple and will get ice cream, an orange lolly.
Now I look back and I wonder there was nothing fancy about those trips but yet they hold such a special place in my life. Eating orange lolly is no fun now. Even after having tasted international brands, the taste of that ice cream still lingers in my mouth.

I am grateful that my grandparents have given me such beautiful and fun memories which have made my childhood so special. They are no more and unfortunately I don’t have their photos with me but I hope through my writing I was able to draw their picture and my childhood.

Oops! I exceeded the word limit. 🤪

Thank you so much @shilpavarma..., for sharing your memories....

I'm going to talk about my grandmother maternal grandchildren as we called pancha, she always told us small but tasty she was very flirtatious, her phrase was I will be able but never disarranged despite the age I was (93 years) to her fascinated that we painted her nails her eyebrows until at one point she demanded her son no longer put a lens that she wanted a contact because with that lens she looked very old she was always impeccable when they took her out for a walk we her grandchildren in everything and their children too, how beautiful my grandmother, at this time is no longer with us but I know that from up there is taking care of us and asking the angels to do their hair and paint their nails. I want you back.

I have some extremely sweet reminiscences with by grandparents (mainly my granddad )

I was terribly keen on my granddad . He wont to play with ME and take ME for a walk to parks. we have a tendency to additionally wont to head to the pool and feed the fishes. He wont to cry once he had to depart North American country to envision his alternative son in Lucknow and do some bank work.

I was extremely inquisitive about teaching others throughout my young ages (now, too). So, I wont to provide prep to my granddad, whereas I wont to head to faculty. simply an easy prep, in some vibrant pages …. that I wont to write my very own.

It had some easy maths, some easy calculations and a few easy English. and that i corrected it after I would return from faculty, and marks to him per his performance.

To make ME happy, he wont to do them duly, while not ever protesting. He wont to hear ME lovingly whenever I educated him one thing. (I virtually wont to treat myself as an instructor )

My brother tells ME an event, wherever he asked my granddad , regarding what he was doing, sooner or later once he was writing something….

Dada replied “ Aray woh hamare teacher Hume prep diye hain … nahi kiya toh aake datenge “ ……*Oh! I’m doing the prep my teacher gave ME, otherwise he would scold ME “ ……I still listen this and miss him!

Now, thanks to some family matter, we have a tendency to don't live along..

I miss my student…………

thanks @geetharao for this wonderful competition, memories of the past flooded me, I could remember then when i was still small, as the first child, the first time my mummy took me to my granny place to spend my holiday was when I graduated from basic six, the holiday was one of the best so far, , because grandma never scold me like my mother used to, and she pampers me like a baby even though I have grown up a bit then, the place was a village, but filled with fun, I used to follow new friends I made there to the rivers to swim, and also the night play was a thing that linger in my memory up til now, then I wish to continue to stay with my granny, but my mother really didn't agree, I bet she was scared of how spoilt I will be with the kind of love granny was showing me , lol, but nevertheless I will never forget my first time memory with my granny, the pix was taken the last time I visited her early this year

First of all I am thankful to my greatest supporter @geetharao for creating this contest. This is a different type of contest.
I have lived with my grandparents along with my mother because of some disputes between my father and mother. Up to 7th class I have stayed in my grandparents’ house. My grandparents are belongs to village and my grandfather was farmer. My grandfather is great supporter in my life and equal to my father. My grandfather never looks for money when taking care of us. He provided all the things what I want. My grandfather is very funny and he teases me in my childhood by singing songs on me, he is very creative and loving person. I and my sister daily wait for my grandfather when he is town because he brings food items for us.
My grandmother is a great loving person. She always busy in cooking and house work. Sometimes my mother is very angry on me and she starts beating then my grandmother stops my mother and takes care of me. My grandmothers cook very well and even my mother and my wife is also don’t compete with her in cooking. I still remember that after completion my diploma I have worked in company and stayed with grandparents sometimes I come very late and my grandmother is waiting for me for serving food while all others are in deep sleep. My grandmother also gives ayurvedic medicines for some diseases and she never expects any return for that.

Hi @krishatnet... Thank you so much for your participation... :)

MY ENTRY
All thanks to @geetharao for this ample opportunity granted here on steemit to help steemians grow.
My childhood experience was indeed and truly spent in my maternal home precisely my grandma. Before I could be weaned and then have a little more of matured faculty of intellect, my grandpa has already "kicked the pocket" so this has limited my life and personal experiences/encounters with him.
In my tender age then, I was so loved by my grandma that she requested of my parents allowing me to live with her. The permission was granted and I spent the whole of my primary education with her. Amidst the loves, pampering and other admirations, grandma never joked with anyone who looked for my trouble as she made sure she scolded anyone who was at fault.
Let me belittle my story.
I made sure I did all the domestic chores prior to grandma's return from market or farm and the whole experiences took place in our village.
I cannot upload our house and grandparents' pictures because I am no longer living with them and I do not have their pictures in my device.
In a nutshell, my Aunty (VERA) never allowed me to play away my studies and to this effect, she forced me to study my books when other children were playing.
She equally taught me and till today I will always be proud of her .
KUDOS!!!

Thank you so much @sanctuspierre..., for reading my post and participating.... :)

That's an image of my grandparents house, well it's abandoned because they are no more but i still have memories of them. Here's my entry below;

Throughout my childhood, I spent two weeks each holiday with my grandparents. It was always part of the plan to take the bus to Ikoyi Street while visiting. My grandmother worked at Ikoyi Street in keljay's store. Everyone who works there knows my grandmother and I think everyone seems to be smiling with her. The feeling of love and acceptance always attracted me, saying that my grandmother loved me so much. After visiting her workplace, we went down to the Toyin street where we sat at the counter and ate ice cream. There were many stores on Ikoyi Street, but Toyin and keljay's are the two places I remember the most.

The bus to Toyin was always fun, but go to Shekinah Park and take another adventure! The pool looked very big. And the water was blue for it. And we could not wait to dive, especially because it was so warm in what we walked to the park where our grandparents lived. Along with many other children swimming in the pool, I was always a new friend. My grandmother never went away, it was time to go.

The pool is refreshing and fun, but I was making desserts with my grandfather! My grandfather liked making desserts. Popcorn balls to crisp peanuts. I never used a recipe when I made dessert, but I always tasted delicious food, lol. Crispy peanuts were always my favorite after I chose a lot. The balance of sweetness and salty taste was a great gift when making perfect desserts. It has been years since I ate delicious food like home made crunchy peanuts.

Every summer I left my precious memories today at sirlahm's grandfather's house. I love spending time with my grandparents every vacation, from shopping to pie making. Even after these years I still miss it, but the memories of that vacation leave a wonderful memory in my mind. I will never forget them.

I know it's over a hundred words but i couldn't stop writing.. I miss them so much!😢😢

Hi @yahuzahope.... Thank you so much for your participation.... No problem it exceeded 100 words! :)
In fact I was very pleased to read it. Thank you once again for your participation....

Greetings, thank God I had the opportunity to share with my four grandparents; but this time I would like to talk about my maternal grandfather, Manuel, who unfortunately is not physically with me his stories, his memory and above all his joy and desire to live keep them in my heart. Not that I want to talk about something sad or depressing, on the contrary, something that marked me and I think that forever was that despite the illness he had for many years, that was not obstacle to celebrate, to tell their jokes and jokes. I remember when I went to the hospital where everyone is disconsolate and hopeless he took his radio at full volume and began to dance (although the movements were very limited) the nurses said: this man cheers this place. He is my hero in Heaven.

Thank you @geetharao for the opportunity of this contest and the feeling so beautiful that I felt when remembering my old man.

This photo is many years old, but I chose it because at that time he was healthy and I like to remember it that way. There he is, my sister and me. (I am the funny one of lenses).

Hi dear @veronica.mart... Thank you so much for your participation! I'm very happy to see so many people participating....
Yes, as you said, your grandpa looks good in this pic...., and you too are looking great!! ;) Thank you once again for sharing your memories....

How dear @veronica.mart.. You have won the contest. Please do write some blog, so that I can upvote you...

Hi dear @himalayanwomb.... It's so nice to see your entry post, in Hindi!! I know Hindi very well. But our Co-Steemians won't be able to read this...

Thank you so much for your participation.... :)

First of all thanks a lot for organising such a beautiful contest. But i was not so lucky as i doesn't have a single photo of me with my grandparents.

I was able to meet only 2 of my grandparents and they both are my grandfathers, the time i spend with them was nostalgic.
Talking about my dad's father,I used to spend whole the time with him, took the food together and also went for a walk with him.In short i used to spend whole the day with him hearing different stories and the stories they tells i bet you will not find such beautiful and interesting stories in any story books. He also used to play several indoor games and tried to entertain me in the best way possible. He loved me very much and i too did the same. But i could only spend 10 years with him as he is no more with us.
Now writing about my mom's father i have spend a very few time with him as he lived far away from me.But whenever i went their he used to feed me with many things and tried to make me happy by doing different things. He was a astropalmist and was quiet busy everyday.Though the spended time was nostalgic and was unforgetable. He left us in the year 2014 and now i have no one as my grandparents which makes me feel sad sometimes but i never show my tears near my parents because if i will burst into tears what of my parents who have lost both of their parents. So i never try to make my parents feel lonely.
Thats all about my grandparents actually grandfathers as i haven't seen both of my grandmothers because they passed away very early.

Now i am also excited to read others post.

Hi @mnishh... I am really sorry to hear about your Grandparents. But I made this contest because though steemit is mainly a writing platform, people are not utilizing it properly. So if we start some interesting contests like this, at least some will make their mind to write something good here.
Even to give an upvote, we must get some good content isn't it?

Dont be sorry maam,i know you have created this contest for the well being of steemit and not to hurt anyone personally.
I absolouetly agree with you maam. You and your son are a pure asset to the community, contest like this blast people mind to write something good.
Thanks for the opportunity and sorry for no photos

In our family, before, when we were still kids, we used to really go to our granparents' house every sunday. And that is our bonding time with my cousins, my uncles and my aunts. We used to eat dinner there and also, wait for our aunt to come back home from work. :) Our aunt used to work away from home like an hour or two and she used to go home every sunday. I remember we would really count each buses that will pass by and wait for them to stop and see our aunt going down from the door. :D And when she finally arrives, all of us will really jump for joy because my aunt always bring food with her. :) We were very happy. But, that changed when my grandpa died. :( 8 years ago, my grandpa died. I don't exactly know the reason of his death but, he was sick. I saw him in the hospital when I was 12. And, the sad part is that, he died few days after my birthday. We were very close to our grandparents and the death of our grandpa really brought sadness to everyone. And starting that, we don't go to our grandparents' house that often anymore. We still do. But not every sunday anymore like it used to be.

I don't have any pictures because we transferred houses and the pictures we have were lost. I think it was left in the old house. :D :D

Thank you so much @creyestxsa94..., for your participation....

I never knew my intimate grandparents, since they both passed away at a youthful age. I generally pondered what they resembled. We lived and dealt with my extraordinary grandparents for a couple of years and I adored living in the nation, the enormous shelter we played in (today it looks truly little) and the boundless expanses. I additionally, had maternal grandparents that my sister and I lived with for one school year and they were an awesome case of what I needed throughout everyday life. To start with, they took my sister and I to chapel each Sunday and I recall grandmother's awesome cooking and grandpa continually prodding her. Once more, we had the brook, fields, animal dwellingplace and barn to play in. Regardless I recall the possess an aroma similar to grandpa acquiring crisp drain from the animal dwellingplace. I've always remembered the delight of that year and the affection that my sister and I got. We were really honored.

Well my grandparents, for both sides did everything for all their grandchildren. Lots of good memories like it should be.
But this one stands out he most!
Each Wednesday after school (ends around 12 hours) I had to go to a speech therapist because my S sounded more like a snake!
So each Wednesday they did pick me up and when seated in the car they did gave me lunch! It was always the same but my favorite. It was bread, hand cut, with cheese spread on it. Together with a thermos of really sweet caffee au lait! I was around 10 years back then but I will always remember those moments!
Really miss them!

My hero:

My grandfather Manuel was always part of my childhood in this picture it was Christmas and the baby was me. a loving and very dear loving grandfather, we had great moments together and my cousins, took us to the amusement park, beach, shopping centers, I remember that we were like ten cousins and a family prank of my grandfather was to call us by numbers instead of our names , my grandfather died in 2015 he was very sick and said goodbye to each one of us I remember taking his hand and I told him that I loved him a lot, and that I was going to be with God, today I always remember him because he never dies It is not forgotten.
