Remarks of the players about Worldcup

We all know that Worldcup's final match has been a great drama and was full of entertainment. Things like 6 runs due to overthrow and a fielder catching the ball and jumping on the boundary rope was a great highlight in the last overs. It is still under debate that whether giving 6 runs for throw was a good or bad decision. Though these rules are already in the books when a team wins or loses because of these then these points again come into consideration.

It was a great content from the match to the super over. Teams playing this final match has mixed emotions and different players shared their emotions in different ways. Some of them are following;

Here are some of the highlights of the final;

England hit 26 boundaries while New Zealand managed only 17
England was declared World Cup 2019 winners despite tied Super Over vs New Zealand in final
England won their 1st-ever men's 50-over title at Lord's on Sunday

Here are some of the highlighted comments of the ex-players;

  • Will remember the 2019 WC which had an England v New Zealand finals & had England & New Zealand as winners ... Sanjay Manjrekar

  • Nice work @ICC ... you are a joke!!! ... Scott Styris

  • Because one team scored more boundaries than the other, they are the winners. For what joy? Why can't it be "The team that has scored more singles will be the winner"? An absolutely ridiculous rule. @ICC, it's a real shame! ...Srini Mama

  • Neither Team deserved to lose that .. What a day for Cricket .. that is how it inspires a new generation of cricketers .. #CWC19 ... Michael Vaughan

The match was fun and still is fun if you watch the highlights again n again. However though the match was tied again in super over, and deciding the world cup on the basis of most boundaries scored is still a questionable act.
