The most effective alarm clock in the world... a sick dog

in life •  6 years ago  (edited)

I have never been a fan of mornings. Even as a kid and even on Christmas morning I would always reluctantly drag myself out of bed. I do not understand people that love waking up in the morning and getting a jump start on the day. It's just not how I am wired.

I have always struggled with alarm clocks and a very quick way to irritate me is to have that horrible digital alarm clock sound that every alarm clock contained in the 90's where it sounded like you needed to not only wake up, but head as quickly as possible to your nearest bomb shelter.

There is one thing that will get me out of bed so fast and make me start my day in a quick manor and it is such a quiet thing that I can't believe I even hear it: The sound of my doggie-pal being on the brink of throwing up on the bed

I don't know why she isn't feeling well, but she isn't and around 730 this morning she started to make that almost silent dry heaving sound that always preempts the eventual evacuation of her belly. I jumped out of bed and put her on the floor, she proceeded to throw up several more times on the stairs and also on the ground floor. She is currently in recovery and will likely be just as excited as ever when I ask her if she "wants to go to the park."

FYI, she ALWAYS wants to go to the park

Anyway, the point of the story is that nothing can make me jump out of bed but since my doge was feeling a bit under the weather this morning I actually got a lot done earlier than i normally would, we also managed to avoid getting barf on anything but tile floors, so i suppose that is a win-win.

She is also attacking my feet now and wants to play, so i think we can suggest that she is feeling a bit better, probably doesn't even remember that she wasn't feeling well. She may have seen my computer screen when i typed "park" also.

My dear friend, I can not see the photos you have published with the text, I'm very sorry that your doggy has felt bad. Really activate the alarms when they show some discomfort, so it happens with babies, is an instinct of love that goes away our comforts, @gooddream. To be attentive and to improve soon. Pamper him by walking in the park. A hug.

The relief when it's the tile and not the carpet is nice. Sorry to hear that baby wasn't feeling well!

Lucky you and lucky doggo! Do glad she got over the stomach upset very quickly! What did you give her yesterday?!

You must have sixth sense about this doggo, you could feel her movements!

Hope you all could go to the park and be jolly soon!
