I am writing this while sitting in Small Business in Tourism class.
It is awfully boring. Why did I wake up early in the morning just to come in and have this 3 hours long seminar, where the teacher barely speaks English? And he is so slow. Soo god damn slow. Slower than a revering snale.
Just to explain - I am studying Tourism and Hotel Management in Hungary, but in English language. Of course 80% of my teachers are Hungarian, mainly old people who picked up English only to be able to earn some more money at the Uni.
Today I am having classes from 8 am to 5 pm, all of them are boring and somewhat useless. And the worst thing is that I am interested in most of the topics (but even so, find them boring). My parents pay a hella lot money for my education.
Still it feels like a waste of time.
There are some interesting lectures, but besides that.... I feel like I could improve more just by staying at home and studying from online articles. For example if I would have spent the same amount of time studying codeing home as I have spent in Uni in the last three years it is most likely I would be a web developer by now.
Society expects you to study and have good grades. Of course it is a nice plus if you have a degree, but it does not define who you are.
There are some really good Colleges and Universities worldwide, where students enjoy studying and they pick up really valuable knowledge.
If you are not studying in one of those, not studying at all, or you are about to drop out cause it is too hard. Don't worry. You are valuable. It does not mean that you are not good in Life.
Everything only depends on you. You can be anything if you are determined and motivated enough!
It does not matter what kind of masters degree you got, in case you are lazy and do not have the right personality to work.
Try to do your best, achieve your goals and be happy in life!
Of course life has it's ups and downs, but if you keep on trying and don't give up you will be unstoppable.
Don't let exam results decide your fate!
